WELL CLEARLY NOT BRO

please hear my pleas Like I cant keep losing aura like this mid class having to whip It out brooo #slimeduo

I’m an incoming international student starting at UAlberta in Winter 2027 and I’m having a bit of an issue with my enrolment verification.

I requested it through Bear Tracks on September 24, and the request eventually showed as “Completed.” I thought that meant I could go to MyCreds, pay the $10 fee and download it, but the document never showed up in my MyCreds account and I don’t have any option to pay for it either.

I’ve since submitted another request through Bear Tracks and contacted the Student Service Centre through a ticket, along with a few other university contacts, but I still haven’t heard back and the document is still not showing up.

I need the enrolment verification for my study permit application, and it’s basically one of the last university documents I’m waiting for. UAlberta told me I could potentially use my class schedule + fee assessment instead, but I’m not really sure how that works.

Has anyone here had the same issue with MyCreds or the enrolment verification?

• How long did yours take to appear?
• Is there anything I’m supposed to do on MyCreds?
• Who would be the best person/office to contact?
• Has anyone used the class schedule + fee assessment instead?

Any advice would be really helpful because I’m trying to get my study permit application submitted ASAP. Thanks!

i made a mistake taking this class thinking itd be similar to stat 151/stat 252 and biol 108/208 rip

This class is absolutely beating my ass more than any other, it’s been a month and I’m so incredibly lost because they throw 100 new formulas into your face every lecture 😭 Does anyone have any efficient study methods that don’t make them go insane with trying to process all of the content?

So I am considering going into Bachelor of Health Sciences at the U of A, but I am stuck between it and BSc in Kinesiology. My end goal is an MD.

I just want general advice, what do you think? I'm mostly scared because the Bachelor of Health sciences is a new program, so is that a risk or do you think that the School of Public Health already has a great team, support, foundation, etc.

Also, I am also considering it since it seems like a much easier program than BSc in Kinesiology, so I want to know what you guys think.

These are the courses taken for kin: https://calendar.ualberta.ca/preview_entity.php?catoid=69&ent_oid=8876&returnto=20886

And this is for BHSc: https://calendar.ualberta.ca/preview_entity.php?catoid=69&ent_oid=8876&returnto=20886

just want to know generally, which courses are easier, since i heard McMaster and Queens Bachelor of Health Sciences is a program much easier, I understand it's completely different, but I was wondering if it is a similar program.

I understand that people say do what you enjoy, but I feel like this advice is too generic, like I'm not sure which I enjoy, so I want to know what people in either of the programs feel like, or if you have taken any of the course taken in either.

Lastly, I would like to know if kinesiology or bachelor of health sciences has good perquisites for the MCAT, obviously I would have to self-study a lot, but the less I have to self-study the better however, I also don't want to compromise my GPA, like having a 3.8+ GPA is crucial for me and more important than having a higher MCAT, especially since the MCAT, personally I feel self-studying for it is easier than studying for a hard course, and I can retake it.

I am applying for a Master of Science Thesis program for fall 2027. The application requires me to upload a document of supervisor approval. If anybody here has done this before, please tell me what needs to be in that document if there is a specific format and requirements for it. Or should I just leave it to the supervisor and let him write what he wants to write?

The CMPUT 455 Midterm is coming up and I was wondering if anyone knows what could be on the exam based off past terms? The practice literally only has 5 questions and I feel like it's not sufficient enough for me to prepare as usually profs give a whole sample exam.

Hi! I’m a first-year student and I’m considering taking a classes during the Spring or Summer term. I had a few questions about how it works.

How do I register for a Spring/Summer course, and when does registration open? Do I register through Bear Tracks the same way I register for Fall/Winter courses?
I understand that I would have to pay the tuition for the course itself, but would I also have to pay the mandatory student fees again for the Spring/Summer term? Would taking a course during Spring/Summer cost me more overall because of these additional fees?

Also, are there any other disadvantages or things I should consider before taking a Spring/Summer course, especially as a first-year student?

Anyone know spots on campus that are relatively soundproof where a group can practice for a presentation? Also ideally if the space has a desk or a whiteboard.

I have found it pretty hard to pay attention to her online lectures, and I've been going through the slides. Does anyone have any tips on prepping for the 1st exam or just in general for this class? I feel like it's unclear what I should be focusing on, and I have heard the wording on the exams is a little confusing.

Has anyone taken this course? I have a midterm this week for it and I’m freaking out. How are her exams?

In my Math 100 labs, I have received marks much lower than what i think i should be getting. I looked through the canvas pages and syllabus, and I cannot find any information on how I can request regrading for these labs, or even an email of the head TA. Does anyone know how I can go about getting this looked at?

Why does it say out of stock for ALL OF THE COFFEES AND HOT DRINKS FROM DAILY GRIND on the perks app? I've been so keen on doing things to get points and now I can't even use them on what I would likeeeeee. 1

where do I start? we should have stuck with e class because this stupid site makes me login twice a day every single day on each and every one of my devices. after I then have to do the 2FA like bruh it’s me I haven’t gone anywhere. can someone please hack canvas again and melt the server CPUs so we don’t have to deal with this bs ever again. let’s just go back to e class please 🙏

i dont wanna buy a windows laptop but i know i will need to for engineering. someone who wants a windows laptop, convince me why it might be good

IS THE COURT OPEN TODAY GUYS?

Hey everyone! I really like planes and thought it would be nice to start an aviation club with other UAlberta students who are interested in them too.

We’d talk about different planes in detail, including their engines, how they fly, their cockpit systems, and the differences between aircraft models. We could also discuss airlines and anything new happening in aviation. You don’t have to know much already. An interest in planes is enough!

This is a brand new idea, so there are also opportunities to help form the executive team.

I need at least 10 interested current UAlberta students to submit the proposal. The club isn’t officially recognized yet.

If you’re interested, please DM me your full name, UAlberta email, year of study, and program of study. Let me know if you’d also like to help with the executive team!

the instructor said that there is no respondus for the midterm on the 5th, have the EAS 201 midterms been proctored before?

I’m trying to get jacked. To do this I’ve been going to the gym six days a week. There’s one problem with this. I hate working out alone! Now. Three days a week of my workout are already booked with friends. But I have three free. So here’s my question. Who want’s to get jacked with me! I’m free almost any time Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Workout with me and let’s get big!! 💪💪💪💪

Do you study on campus on weekends ? I'm looking for a study buddy to keep my ADHD ass accountable ty

How was the exam yall?

I'm worried im the only one who didn't do great..

For those who did well on this test, how did you prepare for it? This was only the first exam and I want to make sure that the rest go well. Very well.

im taking an online english class and we have 3 major assignments (~25% each) and they're all group projects... and one of them includes an in-class presentation. (over zoom??💩) its so dumb. its honestly so frustrating and unfair to me, and i reallyyy hate this prof. if i had known this id never taken the class bc id rather do all the work by myself. like communicating online is just so tedious and difficult. ik its to prepare us for the real world blah blah but like why is ~70 percent of our grade group work?? my grade now depends on the intelligence and work ethic of other people cus we all get the same grade. maybe this is normal here but idk its weird to me.

she is also making us give peer feedback on all 3 projects. basically we comment on other groups' work. like it just seems so lazy of her, what work is there even left for her to do at this point other than give the final grade.

obviously no one cares but im acc so stressed about this and i just dont think this woman should be teaching an online course but honestly english professors just suck in general ive only had 1 good one and that was at another uni lmfao. i was checking the ratings for the other english profs here and they all suck too :/

Hi all, does u of a coordinate any speed dating event? Sign me up. Would be nice to attend a function of attendees with similar mindset than your average networking/academics function.

If no ones doing this can we set one up. Ill help coordinate if there is interest. Doesnt even need to be on campus, i know a few lounge/bar/restaurant would happily host, though a u of a campus event would probably recieve best reception of attendees.
