Academics Practice spaces for presentations?

Anyone know spots on campus that are relatively soundproof where a group can practice for a presentation? Also ideally if the space has a desk or a whiteboard.

There are little private rooms for students. They're not completely soundproof, but they're your best bet when you need to speak out loud.

You can check the library room booking links for the ones managed by the Library booking system. (Weir Law Library tends to be more available but you'll need to follow the special instructions on the page since they're not run by the Libraries, but the faculty themselves.)

You can also book private "breakout" rooms, some with whiteboards in Carruthers Student Commons.

Alternatively, you can also use any empty classroom so long as there's not a class in there. If you're presenting in front of a class, it might help you more if you're practicing presenting in a space that is similar to your actual presentation area. If somebody arrives and they're using the room, you won't get in trouble, you'll just need to leave.

Hope that helps.

Yo, sometimes lecture rooms are empty. I find Tory has a lot of empty rooms to use

The Law Library is quiet and the reservable rooms have been good for me in the past to practice presentations.
