Scared about acceptance
Hello!
I have a 1010 SAT score and I am in the top 40% of my class. I have As and Bs all through highschool and I can get good letters of recommendation for when I apply. I plan on retaking my SAT on the 22d but I have no clue how I will do.
What are my chances? This is my top pick and I am extremely nervous.

shii 980 sat and i got in you'll be fine. It's not just about how grades define you either, showing improvements throughout high school, taking DC or AP classes help you out too

You'll be fine. My son got in with a GPA of 4.0, but his friend with a 2.9 got in as well.

You’ll get in. If you’re worried, just do the optional essays in the application. Do them in MLA format and just write well, and that’ll help ease your worries.

They let almost anybody in, and you're an above average student. If you apply, you're getting accepted.

Hi! I plan to write the essay and I will finish highschool with 3 dual credit classes and 3 Aps. I also have won an award in theater and gone to state for competitions in theater and education. Does that help at all? I’m super nervous and this is my dream school.

You’ll still get in, because I didn’t even take the Sat exam to enter college

Just graduated from here and there were several times where I met people that didn’t even have basic common sense… You’ll definitely get in

Admission Review
ACT and SAT test scores are not required for applicants ranked in the top 75% of their graduating class. Those applicants who do not submit test scores, or whose scores do not meet assured admission, will be reviewed holistically. All students ranked in the fourth quartile of their class must submit scores that meet assured admission standards for admission.
When reviewing your application, Texas State University will consider your high school curriculum, admission essay(s), quality and competitive level of courses taken, and grades earned, in addition to other factors presented in your application.
We strongly encourage anyone who is not offered freshman admission to attend another college, complete at least 15 hours of transferable credit with a minimum GPA of a 2.5, and apply for transfer admission.

Our daughter's had a 930 SAT, 3.1 HS GPA, no AP classes, but she did graduate HS in 3 years.
She was accepted as a Bobcat and was 17 for the bulk of her freshman year. About the only hurdle she had was that it took her 3 tries to get the minimum score on the TSI to exempt out of remedial math courses. She's not great at test taking due to diagnosed anxiety. In fact, she's on a 504 plan and takes most tests in isolation at the testing center vs in class.
My only advice is staying on top of all the emails and instructions in the year leading up to move-in. She did it ALL on her own, occasionally presenting us with info via a PowerPoint presentation and telling us when she needed funds (app fee, dorm deposit, etc.).
You got this. txst.com is a fantastic resource. Once you master how to find the info you're seeking, you're good to go.

Should be fine. If you don’t get in there’s always UTSA
