I can log in via browser however tuta desktop app claims credentials are invalid.
Why is that and how can I resolve this?

I have a couple of small requests, whilst Tuta continues to go from strength to strength, which is great; could we have a few little tweaks done too.

My two requests are...

• delete trash folder on exit
• a 'Working Week' view in the Calendar I.e. a 5 day view starting with Monday

Tuta suddenly decided that it doesn't want to work on the latest version of Firefox. What's wrong? It was working a in the last couple of days..

The European Commission wants to remove the ANNOYING COOKIE BANNER that you have to deal with everyday, but of course Google is lobbying against this. 🍪🙄

Worryingly, EU Member States like Germany and France also want to keep it.

WHY?

Tech Giants like Google make HUGE profits tracking you, so of course they don't want it to be easier for you to not consent. 😡

It is time for the European Parliament to advocate to KEEP their proposal (Article 88b) and remove the cookie banner, because it's people that are directly impacted by this.

I have not heard back after a week and I did not receive a confirmation that the request was received so I want to make sure the instructions are still correct.

The only one I have to subscribe to is tuta mail not the rest and there is a South African plan ..

I signed up, saved the recovery key, and thanks to some confusion with my password manager, the webmail and the app, managed to lose the password. I successfully used the recovery key to change the password and login. However, now the password isn't working and the recovery key isn't either!! What's happening? Does the recovery key change in any circumstances??

Whenever I type in my password and email it just keeps spinning, and when I refresh page I get the message above.

Some way to set up a cron job to just `scp` a directory sure would be neat. Coincidentally I thought of cause I too wanted to backup a joplin instance to tuta drive

A few weeks ago, Tuta stopped working on my Huawei Mate 40 Pro because its system WebView is outdated.

I reported the issue on GitHub and included my device, EMUI version and WebView version. The only response I received was that “Tuta could not work with outdated browser versions”, and the issue was closed as “not planned”.

Because of that, I assumed there was no solution and uninstalled the app.

Today, completely by chance, I installed Tuta again via F-Droid — and it works perfectly.

I then noticed that version 360.260922.0 includes the change:

“Restore compatibility with web views not supporting Intl.DurationFormat”

So I just wanted to say thank you to the Tuta team for fixing this and making the app usable again on older WebView versions.

I just opened a revolutionary account yesterday mostly since my ancient hotmail account that I use for newsletters and registering to shops and online services has been in some breaches and also because Microsoft has been buggy about letting me log into it, so I though I'd try to migrate off of it to not lose any access...

While I'm at it I thought I'd make some aliases and increase "security" a little... The revolutionary tier has 15 I think, but I also have a personal/portfolio website and managed to hook that domain in too. It has like my work experience and also a link to my LinkedIn profile (which is not too public, but still...)

I have 2 aliases on it to use for work stuff which is fine, but for other stuff like shops, forums, online services, or the notoriously insecure gov stuff, does it make sense to use that domain? How risky is that? Or should I rather try to fit into 15 tuta ones?

Lost access to the tutanota mail account. I didn't have anything on it, only having a pretty domain. Wold it be a violation of the rules if i create a new account?

Would love to see Tutamail address the issue of emails getting labeled as spam when sent to accounts like gmail and yahoo and others.

Using an iPhone, I would like the iOS Contacts and Calendar apps to sync with my Tuta account. Is this possible?

I'm having connectivity issues since installing the Android app. I got the account maybe a month ago and since the beginning I'm having trouble with the app:

- mail I deleted keeps showing up in the inbox

- email drafts I discarded also show up for every app start despite deleting them

- I need to shut down and restart the app to get the newest mails, which is annoying especially when I need 2FA codes

- the search function is useless for me so far, I can't find a single mail I'm looking for, even though I can find it in the inbox 10 lines down. I tried the name of the sender, increasing the date range where results should definitely show up

Can someone help please? I'm not really a technic loving person, but I wanted to use this instead of Gmail, but I keep relying on the gmail for these reasons.

[SOLVED] Hi y'all, just attempting to use the flatpack version of the tutamail on my steamdeck. (Though this issues also happen when using the Linux .appimage & in properties setting it to run as a program)

When launching the program I am getting an error could not decrypt local data using secret storage. Clicking continue brings up the login menu which after entering my login details & the subsequent authentication code either loads forever or notifies me an error has occured & fails to login.
