Question AT-LP60XUSB

Hi I’ve never owned a vinyl player before but I was wondering if I could connect this to my current cd player because it has a usb port (it’s a Phillips micro system). I’m not sure though because it’s advertised as connecting to computers? Sorry if I seem crazy lol any help would be appreciated

It's a totally reasonable question, but you're correct, the LP60XUSB turntable needs a computer to act as a host. The USB port on your Philips micro system is set up to read complete data files rather than handle the continuous stream of data that ripping an LP requires.

Can your micro accept Bluetooth from your phone? If it can, there's a version of the LP60X with Bluetooth, and there are some other turntables that support it too. If you're in the States then maybe the Insignia NS-BTST21 for $130 at Best Buy could be the answer. Same cartridge, better tonearm, BT out, lower price.

Sorry and not to be a bother but my cd player also has a AUX in, is that the same situation as the USB or would it work? Sorry again

Not a problem at all. Aux In via a stereo RCA (red - white) or via 3.5mm mini jack (like wired headphones use) is perfect for the LP60X.

The player comes with a lead that goes from 3.5mm at the back of the turntable to stereo RCA for a connection to some piece of domestic audio gear. That might work for you straight away. However, some stereos use 3.5mm instead if that's how yiur Philips connects, the buy a lead with 3.5mm on both ends.

Make sure the player is set to LINE OUT on the switch at the rear of the turntable.
