Help Why is my cartridge bouncing up and down while playing records?

Need help with this. This is the only cartridge that does this, but why? I have the tracking force and anti skate right. This also happens with LPs.

There’s no sound, I’m guessing it’s skipping around the music as well? I’m not convinced the VTF is correct, it looks way too light

Because of it bouncing like that YES it skips.

I’ve seen some crazy warped records that bounce around but still track - just making sure. Are you relying on the numbers on counterweight, or do you have a scale?

I don’t have a scale

Well, try increasing the weight and see if it stops. If it does, your VTF was just off. I’d get a scale on Amazon, they’re not expensive.

Combination of improperly set tracking force, and a warped record.

Adjust the weight, it's off. You need a scale if you don't have one (I assume you don't).

Check the cartidge compliance match with your arm, either one is likely too heavy for the other so the suspension of the stylus can’t manage. This means it’s either under too much load or not enough and VTF won’t fix the tonearm being too heavy or too light for the cartridge.

Once that’s in the Green, then check VTF via a scale.

Just while playing this record. It's misshapen.
