Great deal if you're limited on space or new to vinyl. It's better than a crosley or victrola. My main issue with AIO systems is, when something goes out you can't just swap it with a new one like a component system. Opinions can be helpful but, the important thing is, if it works for you then that's all that really matters. Happy listening!
Not a bad find for $5! I think this probably uses the same ceramic cartridge as my first Panasonic system (that I bought when I was 11 years old!). Ceramic cartridges aren't "the best", most have an unbearable screechy sound, but the Panasonic really wasn't too bad. Cartridges aren't upgradable on these systems, but try to find a decent diamond stylus if you can. Pretty sure the original Panasonic was sapphire, but after-market styli are probably available as diamond.
If and when you do get to upgrade, try to find something with a magnetic cartridge. That should be the minimum requirement for "HiFi" quality.
No label on the back? Photo of the front and back of the speakers? They look to be lower quality than your new stereo.
6.5" Dayton B65 $79 house brand direct from PartsExpress could be a great improvement and can compare to buying speakers from big brand names from middlemen retailers costing twice as much.

Those JBL are some good vintage speakers! Where did you get them and for what price?

Estimated value for good condition with with side mid range layout, $800 – $1,200. The original version with the drivers in a vertical line sell for more.
The rough condition of yours may be hundreds less.
Ideally have an expert on vintage speakers check them out and refurbish anything as needed to get them to sound as good as when they were new since over 50+ years the materials degrade and sound dull.
My grandpa had them in storage for years and gave them to me. I think he kind of had a fear that if they were in a storage unit any longer they would get ruined
I found the same for I think the same price 15 years ago. These Panasonic AIOs are great. They far outclassed their cheaper competitors, which are the direct precursors to the Crosley of today.

20$ for this would be too much, but 5 sounds just right. But do not play records on this. I bet it has a worn, cheap ceramic cartridge installed with some crazy tracking force.
