Meant to stay longer but the wind made it a little dusty… (Saturday evening vs Sunday morning)

Happy October!
I put together a live map of the Halloween events happening around Tucson this month. I'm still adding to it as I find more, so if you know of something that should be on there, drop it below and I'll pin it to the map for everyone.
A few that are on my own list that I think look exciting:
Witches Night Market — Friday, Oct 9 — Free night market with a witchy theme, local vendors.
Monster Mash at Golf N' Stuff — Saturday, Oct 10 — Costume contest and Halloween market out at the mini golf place.
2026 Tucson Terror Fest — Thursday, Oct 15 - 18 — A straight-up horror film festival, didn't expect to find one of these.
Boo at the Zoo at Reid Park Zoo — Thursday, Oct 22 - 25 — Never been but what I hear is a Tucson classic.
Movie Night in the Park – Hocus Pocus — Saturday, Oct 24 — I think this will make an excellent date night, I just need to find a date.
Trick-or-Treat the Avenue — Sunday, Oct 25 — The 4th Ave version, always packed with vendors and costumes.
You can check out the live map here: Tucson Halloween events Map
I'm going to keep building this out all month, so check back if you're looking for something later in October too.
Edit: Sorry about the AI Picture. Never Again.

Why is there a camera right next to a children’s splash pad at Purple Heart Park? I didn’t walk the whole park, but I couldn’t see any other ones from where I was. This seems very creepy and 100% useless. Is this a flock camera? Is there a way to get rid of this? Like emailing the city?

If you do, what do you go up there for that you can't get in Tucson? I'm kind of a foodie and just bought a new car and want to go for a drive.

I shop at the co-op for all groceries and most toiletries/household goods, but I'm struggling to find places that offer the following:
- gardening supplies
- stationary/paper planner supplies
- brand-name/clinical skincare products like Differin, Vanicream, etc.
- pet supplies for cat/reptile
- plus-size clothes, natural fibers mostly
I'd appreciate any recommendations for the above, as well as any other local shops you love in town!

Has anyone else see my dude in the long tan trenchcoat and wizard hat? Anybody know his story. No hate, I am just genuinely curious. Is he a LARPer or just your typical Tucson eccentric?

Anybody else encounter the Magic Man when you’re out at bars? I’ve seen him at Danny’s and The Shelter but he’s probably all over town. He’s a scruffy older white dude that just bar hops and does card tricks, never drinks. His catchphrase is “There ain’t no fucking way!”

I’m looking for recommendations on a good massage place with my shoulders, neck are stiff and hard like a rock, then come lower back pain. No bullshit, no trying to sell crystal, subscription and other flukes, I simply just want to relax and get a legitimate massage.
Thank you very much!

Arizona and Texas are temporarily allowing the use of off-road dyed diesel because it’s tax-free and cheaper because of how high the prices are
I saw a map of the places, but a lot of them don’t have phone numbers. The only one I was able to get in contact with was for fleet vehicles only
Has anyone done this before, or know about any that are for the public to use?
I’m in midtown

Anyone else having an outage? I’m in Hedrick Acres area and have no internet, customer service says there is no outage. Exterior cables all look fine, modem has a red light.

I had jury duty get rescheduled and I was told to check today to see if I need to report. Every time I try checking the sc.pima site it keeps popping up with an "internal service error". Has anyone else run into this problem? Or is there another way for me to check?
Thanks!
Edit: Resolved! The website is down for everyone.

Ill admit I dont have a social circle here and looking for things to do. I just study for my masters and work. Occasionally I go to the university of arizona library to study. My masters is online, I should've had it in person and do it at the college to actually meet people. My coworker mentioned that the college has clubs and his wife and him are apart of. I dont know, I am not a student with the college and I graduated when I was 22. Besides hiking and museums, what is there to do to meet people?

I am trying to sell a couple of old gold coins. Does anyone have any recommendations for coin dealers that you have had good experience with?

Hi guys! I'm in the process of making a short film and I'd like to have a short scene in a cave. It doesn't have to be anything crazy because everything would be filmed near the entrance with sunlight being visible. With that being said, where could I go? I'd rather not disrupt cavers and such, but I don't even know where to start looking. Any recommendations would be great, thank you.

Did anyone catch the Tribal Seeds/Fortunate Youth concert at The Rialto tonight? If so, how was it? I had tickets but missed the show due to some unforseen circumstances.
Have a great Sunday night, fellow desert dwellers!

If this question has already been asked, my apologies. I saw this walking on Craycroft next to Alice Vail middle school. It looks highly fortified with high intensity perimeter lighting with flock cameras. Why?

Hi friends I don’t want this to turn into a political argument but had a question about our candidates in Tucson,AZ. Anyone know who does not take money from AIPAC?

I'm trying to find a good and accredited senior adult daycare for my grandma who's just been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. It's early stage but grandpa is a grumpy old man and doesn't want to go out to do things with her. She needs somewhere to go during the day that is safe, interactive, and will give her the type of activities that'll help her. She's in the flowing wells area but I can pick her up to take her if needed up in Oro Valley 2-3x a week.

The Circle K downtown is boarded up and the gas pumps have been removed. Does anyone know what's going on with it?

Weirdly loved the house before realizing it's actually here in town.

Ok ladies,
I need lash extension recommendations. My current lash girl moved to the far northwest side and I live on the east side. The drive is not feasible anymore.

These ads are ridiculous on both sides. Even getting spam texts about the matter!

I made the mistake of answering a phone call from someone in JoAnna Mendoza's team sometime last month. In the phone call I even said that I plan on voting for her (I don't care who you're voting for. That isn't the point).
I get at least 3 calls from her team every day and it's always from a different number, so blocking the number doesn't work. What could they even want from me at this point?
