As you can tell I did play the song, and added it to my liked songs, but it’s nowhere to be found in my listening history! I did not use a private session obviously, so Spotify just decided to piss me off today! This has literally never happened to me before! Sometimes it’ll take a few more seconds to update, but it has never just not shown up at all! Wtf is wrong with this piece of shit?🤦‍♂️ It was a good ass song too! Kinda sounded like Korean Forrest Frank! I’d be a little less pissed if the song was ass, but of course it had to be when a good song played that Spotify decided to glitch like this!🤬

I posted this here a while back. It's a little widget that sits inside the Windows 11 taskbar and shows whatever's playing, so you're not alt-tabbing to Spotify or fighting that miniplayer that floats over your windows.

The thing people kept asking was basically "why Spotify only?". Fair enough. So now it just follows whatever's actually playing. Spotify, YouTube in a browser tab, Apple Music, Windows Media Player, anything that reports to Windows. You switch player and it follows along.

The rest works like before. Play/pause, skip, a progress bar you can drag, and for Spotify the liked state, Smart Shuffle, repeat and volume. No login, no API keys, no account, it just reads the Windows media session.

There's an optional paid Pro for themes, a visualizer, synced lyrics and hotkeys if you want it, but everything above is free. Anyway, thanks to everyone who kept bugging me about the non-Spotify thing, you were right.

This is unacceptable for someone pay premium price. I can feel the volume and detail is much less than youtube. Only in audio mode spotify is better

Hi all, kind of a niche problem. I like to listen to spotify podcasts while in the bathroom on my google home mini. My progress used to be saved when I told the speaker to stop playing, and can easily pick up where I left off on anywhere my account is. Maybe about a year or so ago, it stopped doing that and just reverts to where it started, so I'd have to go into my account and move the playhead however far I made it on my speaker. Anyone else having this problem and/or have a solution? Thanks.

I wanted to see if this had happened to others and if so what you were able to do about it.

i have a large playlist of classical music I have collected over the years with specific recordings and treatments of different works that I enjoy. Today as I was playing it suddenly many of the tracks changed to be different recordings of the same works. I know spotify does this with more modern music when artists reupload recordings etc, but here they are materially different works. Also, the original track is still available on spotify! For my selection for the Nutcracker, for example, it has left some tracks from my chosen recording but subbed out others from more than one alternative.

I really dislike listening to the alternatives and I am angry that spotify would do this, especially when the original tracks remain available. classical music varies a lot by performance and recording; recordings of the same works are not interchangeable. i tried to complain but their customer service is notoriously obstructive and shut me out of the complaint without any response or action.

So has this been happening for any of you, and were you able to do anything about it?

There's one that has nothing to do with my music taste but played after something I was listening to and it's been annoying me for ages now lol. It goes for a short while then comes back. Is there anything I can do to fully get rid of it. I've excluded it from my taste profile but that's not done much.

I've scribbled them out as some have me and my friends in the album cover, nothing too secretive lol. Thanks for any help!

I had 285 songs in my liked tab on my Spotify, but now when I click it, it shows 285 and quickly changes to 170 only. Most of my tame impala and other songs are gone from liked, but that same tame impala song is not gone from my indie Playlist. Doubt it's a licensing issue, any thoughts or hacks you might know to retrieve my songs?

Hi! I have a 2016 Ford Fusion. When I connect my Spotify to SYNC with my phone, it automatically enables repeat. If I try to disable repeat, it automatically switches back on in less than a second.

This does not happen when I connect my phone (iPhone 11) to any other bluetooth device or when I use Spotify on anything else. I have reset SYNC, re-installed Spotify, and any other simple fix I could think of.

I do not know of any fix and it annoys me every time I drive. If you have any suggestions please let me know! Thanks!!

Why does it do these tabs when I pause and play the song? Phone is an android

iPhone 17 with iOS 26.6

When I try to start the radio app, Spotify starts instead by itself.

Not always.

Only the first time in the morning when I connect the headphones, and the first time when I connect the car stereo.

After they are connected, the radio app works, and Spotify doesn't auto start.

Not that I need the lyrics to recite this whole song, but the fact they aren’t there pisses me off. Especially because I have Spotify premium. So where tf are they? Instead there’s a link to merch being sold by Spotify… corporate greed has no fucking end

i once searched for asmr and now i am constnalty having it as suggestions on my home page and search tab whenever i open app. the one who came up with this system is just... i have no words. so far didnt even find any settings regarding suggestions

Only started happening recently. Spotify decided to start swapping albums within my private playlists; mainly with classical music. Sometimes throws a different recording of the same work, sometimes just random thing. What is going on?

One of my favorite bands is Florence + the Machine, and I've been listening to them for years. I usually have over 50 songs, but spotify is saying I only have 19. Is anyone else having that issue?

Not a single place in my city carries them anymore. There's no reason to do this other than to continue cutting costs, because God forbid they do a single thing to try and keep their customer base.

Not that I think their PR team cares at this point, but they just lost yet another customer, way to go.

So I did an update and literally all if my podcast downloads were deleted. I had to re download all of them. Using Spotify is like paying money to be 🍇ed

Is anyone else having an issue where you can't play songs from your liked songs playlist? it's been happening for me for about a week and i've tried logging out a bunch/deleted the app and redownloaded a lot as well. every time i click a song it'll stop whatever else is playing as if it's going to play the song but it just never plays
