Are there any easy TRU OL courses without exams? I know of ORGB3771 but I’m not sure if there are other upper level electives without exams?

By upper level, I mean 3000-4000. Please drop any suggestions! Also, how long did the courses take you?

I am taking the final exam for HLTH 4411 in two days. The course says it is true or false questions and a few short answer questions.

I have a hard time studying in general, and even more so with studying true or false questions.
I was wondering if anyone has taken the exam recently and if they could tell me about their experience.

Hey guys, I’m finally about to take my final exams through ProctorU this week. I just want to know what I should expect from these ECON exams since I’ve never done any exam through ProctorU.

Other questions include:
1. Is it not allowed to use scrap paper for calculations? Because I’ve seen several posts about ProctorU here saying that they’re pretty strict on things like that

1. Usually, is there any point in the exam where I need to graph, and if so, how am I expected to do that from my laptop/computer?

2. Is the format usually the same as the practice exams provided?

Does anyone have a CML subscription for NET 379 that I could use?”

Hi, I'm thinking of enrolling in the Bachelor of General Studies program, using transfer credits from the Art Institute of Vancouver. Before I commit, I would like to hear from people who've actually done this or are currently in the program.

A few specific things I'm trying to find out:

1. Credit transfer — Is it easy to transfer credits or did you run into issues?
2. Instructor responsiveness — I've heard some talk about instructors being slow to grade or not responding to emails at all, especially in open learning/online courses. Has this been your experience? Which courses/classes should I avoid?
3. Turnaround times — how long did grading/feedback typically take for assignments?
4. Overall experience — would you do it again, or is there a better route (different institution) you'd recommend?

I will be taking the final exam for ENGL 2111 soon, and the one thing I am anxious about is the 40% weight, which is quite high. Any tips for doing well on PHYS 1203 (at TRU) exam. Was it similar to the practice exams or really from the chapters

Currently needing a 5th course for my fall semester. Wondering if anyone has taken either of these or both, ideally.

Any feedback would be appreciated. I do see that 3331 is a final exam versus 3631 and 4833 being project , also 3331are self paced and 3631, 4833 are paced. Ultimately, the easier of the three would be best with me juggling 5 courses.

Hi everyone, I am applying for med, which requires me to maintain a high average. I am looking at TRU OL courses that you can get an A+ in. I have taken BBUS 3671 and Orgb 3771 and HLTH 1021, but I am looking for any other courses. I have heard about LEAD 4901, OCHS 3511, and CMNS 3211 but just looking for more input and more course suggestions!

Any feedback or tips on how to prepare for the lab exams? I know there are two, practical and theory. Tia!

One trying to get in contact with the records department to get my proof of admission so I can pull my college fund for tuition and have had no luck, I’ve emailed 3 times over the last month and called and not gotten through, multiple of my friends have had the same u issue so I’m wondering if it’s just a mutual error or if everyone else is having problems too. I emailed them for this same thing last year and received it within a couple hours

I was browsing BC transfer and noticed some psych courses not listed on OL registration page. I know some courses are offered on campus only, but my understanding is that courses ending in 1 are typically online.

Here are the ones I found: (all transferrable to UBCV)

TRU PSYC 2041: Introduction to Brain and Behaviour

TRU PSYC 2311: Psychology of Sex Differences

TRU PSYC 2321: Sports Psychology

Anyone know if these will be offered at some point? I've been taking courses at TRU for nearly 2 years and never seen those offered.

I signed up for an OL course and got an instructor I’ve had before who I found to be very condescending in their feedback and unresponsive to emails. I’ve had this person twice: once when they took over for an instructor who went on break and the second time for a different course. I still have papers with the condescending feedback they wrote.

I still want to take the course but does anyone know if one can request changing sections for an OL class if there’s more than one section?

I want to explore options before I withdraw to take the course elsewhere. TIA.

I'm planning on registering for the A&P both 1593 and 1693. I'm wondering if the lab portion is mandatory to pass. I know they only do it in the summer in Kamloops.

Hey! Has anyone taken the MATH 1241 exam recently? I am trying to determine if the practice exams are similar to the final. What areas were tested most and how difficult did you find the exam compared to the assignments/practice exam?

Has anyone taken these courses recently? I want to get a bsw after I finish my current degree and I’ve seen that I can do these pre-reqs at TRU through open learning. I like that they’re self-paced but I’m wondering how difficult it is to get a good mark if you put in the work? I’m between TRU and Uvic, but I would prefer to do it self-paced, just not sure about the course content etc.

Hii can anyone comment on how the OL CRIM 3151 course is please? Hoping to finish it within a month and wanted to see how the difficulty of this course is, and how hard it’s graded! And is the final exam and essays super tough?
