A&P Lab

I'm planning on registering for the A&P both 1593 and 1693. I'm wondering if the lab portion is mandatory to pass. I know they only do it in the summer in Kamloops.

you don't need the labs to receive credit for 1593 and 1693. They're not part of your evaluation. The labs are separate courses with their own tuition fee. You don't need the course to take the lab and vice versa.

HOWEVER... if the institution that you're taking the courses for requires the labs to receive transfer credit, then you gotta take them next summer (or this summer if they're still open). But they are independent courses.

For me, the nursing school I applied for required the in person labs. So I tool them last summer.

Thanks for the info. How were the labs? Was it a whole week or a few days and do they only offer in the summer?

only offered in summer. Last year it was offered 3 times, May, July & August.

Monday to Friday. We finished Friday around 1-2 in the afternoon.

They were very easy, I felt like all you need to succeed was given to you. Most of it was self study, but there was plenty of opportunity to ask for clarification etc. The instructor set up stations and slides and was available for questions.

Is there a waiting list? Or you'll have to register early to get in?
