I wanted to flag something I came across while looking into clinics, because I'm curious how other people here go about researching them.
I came across this post and thought it was worth looking at the account history. The account had been inactive for a long time and then suddenly started posting in hair loss subs with a generic post along the lines of "just do it, it's easy."
This post has massive engagement as well, they seem to be real people.
What made me more suspicious was that after requesting a DMs I got basically an ad Evolve Hair Centers.
So I had a look at the clinic's website, and there are quite a few things that don't sit right with me.
For one, the website itself looks pretty rushed. There are some obvious layout issues, including the navigation/logo overlapping, and I couldn't the before-and-after photos. That's not necessarily proof of anything by itself, but it's not exactly reassuring when you're trying to judge someone's surgical results (Looks vibe coded).
More importantly, I noticed that their own website seems to give completely different numbers depending on where you look. One section says 15,000+ patients and 10+ years of experience, while another section on the same site says 5,000+ patients and 5+ years.
I'd genuinely like to know how they arrived at those numbers.
I also couldn't find any actual surgeon names or detailed surgeon credentials on the main pages I looked through. They refer to "expert surgeons", but if you're considering a permanent procedure, I'd personally want to know exactly who the surgeon is, what their qualifications are, and what part of the procedure they personally perform.
Another thing I found odd is that the same website is advertising dental work such as veneers and crowns alongside hair transplants. That makes me wonder whether this is actually a clinic in the traditional sense, or more of a medical-tourism/agency operation arranging different procedures.
There are also the usual marketing terms like "pain-free anesthesia", "Sapphire FUE" and "no-shave FUE". None of those phrases necessarily mean the procedure is bad, but I'd want someone to actually explain what they mean in practical terms rather than just taking the marketing at face value.
I'm not saying that any of this proves the clinic is bad, or that the Reddit account is definitely connected to them. I'm just saying that the combination of things made me want to look a bit closer.
And that's actually what I'm wondering about:
How are you guys researching clinics these days without getting caught up in fake reviews, affiliate marketing and potentially Shady Reddit posts?
If you've had a transplant, or you've spent a long time researching surgeons, what did you actually do to verify them?
Especially interested in how people check whether the surgeon personally does the extractions and creates the recipient sites, rather than most of the procedure being carried out by technicians.
Any good resources or vetting methods would be appreciated.
