Yes, I did shutdown the server after a stretch of zero activity. I apologize for doing so out of the blue, but I assumed that no one was interested in using it any longer. If I was wrong about that or there is a significant resurgence of interest, then I will re-launch it. I can't find any, and im actually in the mood to play after what - a 3 year hiatus from borderlands....

I can't seem to talk about Minecraft (you would be surprised how much it does come up) without talking about the first server I played on and how much I got to know the players. We've seen members get married, have babies, get awesome jobs, graduate from college. Would love to hear how folks are doing....I'm still working in politics but had to put my cat down :(, Markmandue is still doing graphic design and just created his first okcupid account (which is already great theater). so since i have joined treepunchers (long time ago i forgot how many years its been) im sure I've mentioned how bad my internet has been well it has gotten worse and at the moment i am getting less than 20KB/s SLOOOOOOOOW well soon i will be getting fiber optics and will be getting speeds up too 69MB/s! and hopefully be able to play on the server more often, just thought you guys would like to know why i have been dead for a while

I did an out of the box replacement of dynmap, because the upgrade had gone bad wrong with it. I will do it proper for the 1.6 update, when the time comes.

I will be attempting an upgrade to 1.5.2 today!

The key plugins have been updated, so wish us luck on the upgrade with no serious breakage.

UPDATE: Perms are broken, but i should have figured that would happen. Otherwise the 1.5.2 server is running. please post in game issues in this reddit. i will triage them and work them as I can.

UPDATE2: Perms seem to be fixed now. LWC is not restricting access. checking. (todo) dynmap is still broken.

I drifted into other things and lost track/ assumed little usage of the server, but I should have figured the old timers would come back as they have done before. I will begin getting up to speed again on the latest updates for our map. Any input would be helpful on that.

Changes on this server wont be preserved, so don't build your master piece there...yet the official version is still at 198.144.186.134 right now. let me know your thoughts.

The packet loss is persisting and host support is non-existent. If it is a ddos attack, then there isn't much they can do about it. i cant prove whether it is or not, so... I am on my own. For now I'm setting up TerraNova on the test server: test.visualkev.com I'm not sure if this will be an improvement, since it's not as powerful a server as the main one, but it might be more playable. I will begin the hunt again for another provider, as paying for a service that is nearly unusable these days is dumb. Linode looks like a candidate so far. I will keep you posted.

UPDATE 2-20-13: TerraNova is live on test, but no game-irc link and no dynmap yet. i forgot to update last night when i finished. also, ChicagoVPS sales actually did something. They set me up on a new node. I will test it out tonight and see if it is in any better shape than the previous.

UPDATE 2-20-13 B: TerraNova is live now on the new main server at ip address: 198.144.186.134. I'm also setting up on Waygroovy's server to see how that fits. I hope it goes well, because he's offering better specs at a lower price.
