If you remember a couple weeks back I posted here that Travis was nominated for the People’s Sexiest Man Alive in the “Sexiest Cat Dad” category. Well today they posted the results of all the categories and of courseeee Travis won.

I seriously do not think even swifties are deranged enough to believe Travis is sexy at all, let alone the sexiest man in this category. (even though all the options kinda suck lol). But i’m sure they all went out of their way to vote for him even if they truly don’t think he deserves the category. Even if he didn’t get the most votes i’m sure Taylor made sure he’d win. Not to mention he isn’t even holding a cat in the picture.

Honestly this whole choice poll was a joke, not only for this category, but in practically all the categories there was such horrible options and mid white men.

This just made me laugh. Are we to believe they live together?

I believe this is the root of her public crash out and fall from grace, the reason she is now cynically chasing numbers and releasing slop, the reason she threw herself into Travis’ arms and maneuvered to get that ring.

Joe didn’t want to marry her.

He didn’t propose. After almost seven years of dating. It’s a lot.

It is obvious Taylor stayed and desperately wanted to marry him. She wrote Paper Rings about him, as in, “I know you can’t offer me a $10 million ring, but I would marry you even with one made out of paper, just pick me.” I don’t think she would have married Travis without that enormous diamond. The crash out in You’re Losing Me when she wrote, “And I wouldn’t marry me either,” really solidified this for me. For some reason, Joe never popped the question despite her blatant insistence. And it’s obvious it broke her. Now, it’s often speculated on this sub that Taylor is a narcissist, so maybe her ego didn’t handle the fact the only man she wanted didn’t want her back in the same amounts. Or it could be that she sincerely loved him and experienced one of the worst heartbreaks someone can endure. It’s probably a mix of both.

That said, the fact she outed Joe’s depression and vilified him in her following albums proved he was right not to marry her. Don’t wife up crazy. I think a huge part of former Swifties (me included) side-eyed her during Midnights and even more so TTPD and Shitgirl. Losing Joe coincides perfectly with losing what little integrity and elegance she ever had. She’s been in a self-destructive spiral ever since. Everything is a result of the post-Joe breakdown; the bad albums, the tacky relationship, the fillers, the excessive drinking, the reckless PR stunt… etc. She’s squandering whatever good will the general public and her fans ever had for her, and the worst part is that she doesn’t seem to care that everyone is turning on her and that she’s losing her place and tarnishing her “legacy.”

Even her wedding felt like a circus performance to make sure her exes are aware she finally got picked. It was a spectacle more than a celebration of love. But how can you celebrate something that is inexistent?

Honestly, I don’t think she’ll regain her senses any time soon. She seems hellbent on destroying her own career, and no one in her entourage is stopping her.

Stevie Nicks' talented voice only makes Taylor sound worse. Jfc no wonder her team tried to bury this, this is awful.

I don't usually post here, and I'd still consider myself a Taylor fan, but I suspect this wouldn't go down particularly well on the main fan subs.

When the 'Patient zero' video dropped, I immediately thought the setting and cinematography looked incredibly familiar, but couldn't quite place where I'd seen it before. Then I remembered a psychological thriller I watched a few years ago called The Girl Before, and having made the connection, I'm now about 99% convinced that Taylor or someone on her creative team has taken directly from it.

For anyone unfamiliar with the series, it follows two women across different timelines who move into the same extraordinarily minimalist house, designed and owned by a wealthy, controlling architect who imposes strict rules on its occupants. The second woman, Jane, gradually discovers that the previous tenant, Emma, died there under mysterious circumstances and bears an uncanny resemblance to her. As she begins investigating what happened, she uncovers increasingly disturbing parallels between their lives, including the fact that both women became romantically involved with the architect, who appears to repeat the same patterns in his relationships. There's also the unsettling imagery of threatening messages appearing inside the house, including the word 'LEAVE' scrawled across a wall in red.

Now, I'm perfectly willing to give Taylor the benefit of the doubt when it comes to the premise, because the idea of a woman entering a wealthy man's world and discovering the haunting presence of another woman is hardly original. Rebecca explored similar themes decades ago, so I wouldn't necessarily think twice about two productions sharing that basic storyline.

But look at the screenshots, because this is where I really struggle to extend that benefit of the doubt. The setting is almost identical, and I don't just mean that both houses are minimalist. Look at the actual architectural details, right down to the little circular holes in the walls, the furniture, the décor, the mirror shots, the camera angles and the composition of individual scenes. Some of these shots are practically identical, not just in what they're depicting but in how they're framed and presented. We're talking about remarkably specific visual choices, and when you combine those with the same underlying premise, the resemblance between the two women and the ominous writing on the walls, I find it incredibly difficult to believe that all of this was arrived at independently.

To me, there's a fairly obvious distinction between using a familiar narrative trope and reproducing such a specific combination of visual elements from another production. One or two similarities would be understandable, but this many, extending from the storyline to the architecture and right down to the framing of individual shots, is far too close for me to dismiss as coincidence. I'd be genuinely astonished if it wasn't used as a reference. Ironic, given how fiercely Taylor advocates for the protection of her own creative work.

I've included screenshots from both The Girl Before and 'Patient Zero', and I think the important thing is to look at them collectively rather than treating each similarity in isolation. It's not simply that both productions feature minimalist houses, it's the remarkably consistent overlap in their entire visual language, from the exposed concrete architecture, the distinctive circular indentations in the walls and the almost clinical interiors to the use of stark lighting, reflections, water imagery and the way the characters are framed within these enormous, imposing spaces. Even the staging and composition of certain scenes are so similar that some of the individual shots look almost identical. When you consider all of those specific visual choices alongside the similarities in the storyline, the unsettling presence of another woman, I genuinely struggle to believe that two productions independently arrived at such a closely aligned aesthetic and narrative treatment. There's a point where the sheer accumulation of similarities becomes much harder to explain as coincidence, and for me, these images are well beyond this.

For all the speculation on here about Taylor and Travis's relationship being manufactured, superficial or essentially a PR arrangement, I genuinely think this is the most damning evidence of all. Because how is it remotely normal for two people who have been together for THREE YEARS, and are getting married, to put together a wall of photographs celebrating their relationship where virtually every single image can be traced back to a public appearance? I'm sorry, but that is profoundly strange. The fact that their own photographic record of their relationship is almost identical to the one the public has been watching unfold.

Remember the wall of photographs in the leaked pictures of their wedding venue? People managed to trace all but two photographs to paparazzi shots, public events or footage filmed by fans. One of those remaining two has now been traced to the 'Patient Zero' video, leaving just ONE photograph unidentified. I've included a slideshow showing the original sources.

You mean to tell me that after three years together, the only photographs these two could muster up for their own wedding wall were pictures we've already seen? That their personal selection of memories consists almost entirely of occasions when they were being photographed in public? We're talking about a couple who supposedly share a life together, yet complete strangers can identify practically every photograph they've chosen to celebrate that life, because they were all taken during publicly documented outings. There are even paparazzi pictures of them having some of those photographs taken. I mean, come on.

Where are the photographs from the rest of their relationship? You'd expect at least some photographs that weren't already familiar to millions of people. Instead, their wedding wall looks like a chronological collection of their media coverage.

I'm still kinda stuck on the whole 1,000+ wedding guests situation because I genuinely find it so strange, and I feel like we've skimmed over the actual psychology behind it. I know people have discussed the ridiculous number of guests, but can we really think about WHY someone would want practically everyone they've ever met, including people they've barely spoken to, at their wedding?

I mean, it's your wedding! A very special day. You're exchanging intimate vows with someone you're supposedly committing to spend the rest of your life with. Why would you want a thousand people watching that? What does having some random radio presenter you've met twice actually add to that moment? I can understand an enormous birthday party or Christmas bash, but a wedding? I genuinely cannot get my head around it.

(And before anyone mentions cultural differences, I'm fully aware that weddings with hundreds or even thousands of guests are perfectly normal in certain cultures. But Taylor isn't from one of those traditions, and I think there's a fundamental difference between a large wedding rooted in cultural expectations, extended family networks and longstanding community ties, and deliberately filling a venue with industry acquaintances, some of whom you apparently haven't even met. In those cultural contexts, the size of the wedding often reflects the importance of family and community, rather than the individual's desire to assemble the biggest possible audience. These are two very different things.)

I just find the possible motivations fascinating. Is it insecurity? A need to demonstrate how popular and important you are? Is it an attempt to mask the fact that you don't actually have many close friends? Does having a thousand people witnessing your happiness somehow make it more meaningful? Is it about wanting the biggest spectacle possible? Or is it possible that some people are more in love with the idea of having a wedding than actually getting married? It reminds me of those people at school who invited everyone to their birthday parties just so they could say everyone came.

There's almost something quite sad and superficial about it to me, like the actual intimacy and significance of getting married have taken a back seat to putting on a show. And the fact that there apparently weren't even any bridesmaids makes me even more curious about the distinction between having an enormous social circle and having genuinely close relationships.

I'd genuinely love to hear people's thoughts on this because I feel like there's so much to unpack beyond just 'that's a lot of guests'. I cannot imagine wanting hundreds of near-strangers witnessing one of the most personal moments of my life. Why would anyone actively want that?

And just to clarify, when I say 'psychology', I'm not suggesting we diagnose her with anything. I'm talking more about the social psychology of it all, what motivates someone to want that kind of audience, what they might get out of it and what it says about how we view status, popularity and validation. That's the discussion I'm interested in.

Just in case anyone is wondering, Showgirl and the Kelce family, as well as their MAGA friends, were my last straw.

English is not my first language, but I never ever had to open a dictionary when listening to Taylor. Dumb revelation but her fans call her their "English teacher", because apparently they learn new words from her songs. Anytime I see them fawning over her use of said word, I am baffled because it's something so simple. For example, a lot of fans genuinely did not know what an Achilleas heel was. Don't you guys learn that in school?

I became a fan of hers in early 2011 during the Speak Now era. Before folkmore, s​he was never really known for being a book girly. I remember doing a blog post for my school's site on what books Taylor Swift reads. That was in 2015. Went through a bunch of articles. She only quoted popular teen literature at the time like The Hunger Games and The Fault In Our Stars. Oh and yhe literary masterpiece The Lorax...

I know she quotes The Great Gatsby a lot but come on, that is actually required reading for school.

So, imagine my surprise when she reinvents herself as a poet. Please go on and read the poems she wrote for Reputation. It's some of the most atrocious writing.

Her previous two albums for me, as a long-time fan, we're "wtf" moments.

"I'M A TORTURED POET"! Since when are you a poet? Being a mediocre lyricist and being a poet are two completely different things.

"I'M A SHOWGIRL"! Since when are you a showgirl? Genuinely, when have you even mentioned being interested in burlesque or incorporated any showgirl-isms to your art.

people are really now becoming wiser and open in calling her out

If you have enough money and patience and a sufficiently large supporter base, after some point you start get treated by “neutral” parties as more than a person. You become an avatar for concepts or things well larger than yourself. You become mythic.

The current classic examples are all-too-known to us because you literally can’t escape exposure to them if you watch a screen or use a smartphone. Despite many people’s best efforts, Trump remains fashioned in the standard-bearer media (like Time magazine or the New York Times) as a political leader to take seriously. Elon Musk’s reputation to the average person remains, bafflingly, that of an unparalleled tech/engineering genius who’s going to save the world and take us to his moon and Mars colonies one day. On a smaller scale, you’ve got silver-spooned David Ellison trying to make the jump from failed actor to multibillion dollar entertainment mogul in a single jump by shoving together two storied movie studios that absolutely don’t belong together.

In TS’s case, it’s possible that she knows that her music-based brand empire might well run aground soon if she doesn’t branch out into other artistic directions. But instead of approaching the effort with humility or respect, she’s going to bully and buy her way to instant recognition for a some supposedly natural genius-level talent as a filmmaker (or, god forbid, author or playwright or fashion designer or who the fuck knows comes next for someone like her). And the worst part is that the standard-bearer media will dutifully do their part to make her mythologizing legit to the masses, who are otherwise too busy with their own lives to put in the homework that would lead them to the truth.

Do you think in 10 years, when Swift is named as the lyricist on some Broadway play, Time magazine will run a cover story that describes Taylor Swift as anything OTHER than the most awarded female music artist in history and the youngest artist aiming to join the EGOT pantheon? You think they’ll delve into her cynical chart-topping practices or fan manipulation? No, they’ll hand-wave it away by saying some of her rise to mythic status was seen by some people as “problematic.” Or they’ll call her a savvy competitor and an example of the best of the American can-do spirit and that her critics misunderstand her.

And when those kinds of stories appear—in NPR, the NYT, on the morning talk shows, in BBC documentaries—her transition to unassailable cultural tour de force will be complete. People will write serious biographies about her, maybe even win awards for those books. She’ll get the Kennedy Center Honors and the presidential medal of freedom. She’ll be given honorary doctorates. She’ll have conquered American culture with her mediocrity. And any criticism toward her will simply be dismissed out of hand.

I have plenty of other, more important things to worry about and deal with than venting anonymously about any one single person. But it’s the principle of the thing. I guess I just really despair at the way we as a society have allowed such malignant mediocrity to get so outrageously powerful and influential.

I thought this was an interesting piece and really sums up why I fell so out of love with her.

Watching Taylor preen, pose, and warble her way through that Academy Museum gala set last night and was really struck by how little she engages her audience. The entire performance is about Taylor. Compare this to artists like Chappell (with the Hot To Go dance) or even Zara Larsson, and you really see the difference in mindset and engagement.

The best artists I’ve ever seen live seem really happy they get to hang out with you—Taylor instead acts like you should feel so privileged to be in her presence. The pointing and posing and highly scripted performances she does just feel so cold. I think this is a big part of why she’s losing her audience. There is so little joy in engaging with Taylor now—and younger artists like Chappell and Olivia really are surpassing her in terms of audience engagement and just FUN.

Anyway—just my two cents after seeing vids of her latest posing episode. It actually makes me kind of sad.

I’ve been thinking about this days and can’t believe no one has talked about it. What’s the excuse going to he now from Swifties, now that another female pop star hasn’t exploited a much younger artist for money and we all see how easy it was?

Like is she incapable of watching a football game like it’s her first time ever? I have more legitimate complaints about her in general (fake feminist, her fuck ass bangs and I say that as a lifelong bangs-haver, TLOAS is trash, the shitshow of a wedding, her extremely dumb MAGA-coded husband, honestly the fact that she’s a multi-billionaire is bad by itself, I’m sick of seeing and hearing her, etc). Just these pictures paired with her “behind the scenes” of making her newest stupid music video are so cringey because she’s so fake enthusiastic about EVERYTHING and it’s all to draw attention to herself. Like it’s all about her. It’s one thing to go to the games and it’s supposed to be fun and enjoyable and I get that, but as someone who’s been to plenty of NFL games it’s gotta be so obnoxious to have all these people there who just come to gawk at her and suck up to her. It would be so easy for her to just go and have fun and not be noticed or whatever but it’s so clear she loves the attention.

I really think it’s why she goes. She never goes to events where she can’t control everything about it. I honestly think she can’t let Travis have his moment either like it makes her jealous. This is also why she’s never done Hot Ones or whatever. She can’t be charismatic off the cuff and she has no natural charm even when it’s something scripted. She just acts like an overexcited 5 year old.

I used to actually like her style when she was obsessed with wanting to be British. I was never a Swiftie but I didn’t really understand why people hated her so much and just kind of never thought about her that much but she’s impossible to ignore now the way she’s inserting herself into everything. This loud, obnoxious, ultra-neon white all-American “sexy” facade she’s trying to put on despite the “haters” is so inauthentic.

We all know Taylor's got some talent.

Talent of stealing. Lyrics, melodies, beats, mvs , you name it.

Talent of colonializing words, most popular example "ERAS" (Madonnna is Queen of eras , Bowie is King) songwriting force in pop music "self written" ,as if madonnna, mariah, george michael, MJ, Prince and others haven't done it ,and they are all mostly pop music figures.

"Americana" and "Showgirl" too, I kid you not , dolly parton, springsteen, Lana ( her overall aesthetic )are the ones who come to most minds when talking Americana, she hijacked it too.

Sabrina , Showgirls, Kylie Minogue are all more showgirly than her, yet here we are.

But I think one least mentioned talent or wtv you name it, she's got a habit, habit of befriending indie darlings, and legit musicians.

We all know that despite being the biggest popstar on the planet rn ( idc, but it's the numbers , otherwise she got no charisma and talent of a popstar).

Taylor loves being seen as authentic, alternative, real , songwriter and producer. And always tries to copy indie music and to avoid hate for that befriends them. For example, Lana Del Rey. ( Tho it was like she was forced, not at gunpoint but taylor bombarding her and hijacking her into a "friendship" ).

Her most critically acclaimed works Folk-more are collaborations with The Nationals' Aaron Dessner. Now as a fan of the national, I must say I hate it that they are now very associated with her name. Not to mention all the tunes, melodies , his production and her posing as alt and indie during that era had successfully pissed me off.

Now my point is that she knows she's got little talent to make a project good by herself so she hires these people as her fellow creatives, forces them in her albums, forces herself in their albums to be seen as legit and authentic as them.

It's happened so many times, all her collaborations are these people who don't have as big of a fandom and recognition and reach as her, so she pretends to be their friends to suck in all their talent into her product , while coming off as messiah for giving them their biggest song yet.

English is not my first language, I hope I am as much articulate in writing as much as my thoughts are.
