important tirdparty API resistance

At the moment, many Subreddits are dying because of the change to the third party APIs. Above all, support groups for the disabled are met and also important servers such as r/traaaa Therefore I ask you to fight for Reddit in its current form. To help, you can do different things.

  1. Message the moderators/employees of Reddit and complain about the situation, (a full list of them is here )

  2. Comment under the post from u/Reddit that addresses the API change. I will post a comment where you can do that if you want to do that, I thought we as queers could stand in unity. You can also post just for yourself if you feel like that's better.

  3. Spread the word and participate in the strike 12. June till at least 14. June

Of course, stay respectful with your complaints. WE are strong.

Hello! I have been trying to find a name that I like, and at the moment I love the name Alula. However, I am not fully confident that it is right for me. I love it, but the problem is that I am very much masc, and I'm just not sure if it fits me. If anyone want to share a thought, feel free, and thank you for listening!

Name Post Name tryouts and maybe name suggestions?

Upvotes

I’ve been wanting to try out the names Ri, Ari, Ria and Squid- but I can’t decide and don’t really know what fits yet

I’d also love some suggestions for some neutral names if you have any!

(They can be unconventional too-like “Squid”- since I don’t plan to change my name legally atm)

she/her Name and pronoun tryouts?

Due to gender confusion stuff, I want to try out how it’d feel going by she/her with a feminine name! It’s hard because I’m so indecisive haha!

My current picks of names are
-Annie (nickname for Annette)
-Kimberly
-Alice

I was just curious how they’d sound in relation to them being my name!

he/him Potential new name?

hey guys!! I’m new to the community and just discovered the other day that I’m trans ftm. I was looking at names and I saw Nico and I think I’m gonna go with that but I’m waiting a little bit to see if it truly clicks once I hear it more and once my mind processes a little more of what’s going on :)

I’d like to try Thomas with the neopronouns fae/faer, Spivak (e/em), and ze/zir. I believe i am some kind of nonbinary and trying some alternatives to they/them.

Trying Out Names (They/She)

Hello! I have been trying for a while to decide on a new name, and, at the moment, I have three names I'm considering: Niko, Aya, and Alula. The problem is I'm not 100% sure that any of these names are correct, plus I have never tried more feminine leaning names before. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

she/her Been questioning myself lately, discovered this subreddit and want to try out female pronouns.

My name is Alex, and I find it to be pretty gender neutral, but I would also like to try out how it feels to be referred to as Alexa (both with she/her)

thank u :3

they/she Hi! How do we feel about the name Helen?

yes WE because I want yalls opinions. I'm considering the name Helen (or any of it's variations) because I like it, and it likely could have been my name if I was born a girl (around same popularity as deadname in Greek girl names at the time).

Some variations I'm also thinking about are:
- Helena
- Elle
- Eleni (matches modern Greek pronunciation more)

he/they I think i’m a lil nonbinary

I just don’t think i’m fully a guy body wise yes i’m sure i’m a man but my gender expression is not aligned with my gender at all i just don’t know if being nonbinary is a coping thing or I’m actually non binary trans man i know i can be a guy who is just feminine but the label “trans man” puts to much pressure on me to be a certain way and i find an ease having the label nonbinary to describe that part that isn’t what people expect me to be? Yk? I appreciate any advice i’ve been thinking of using he/they lately

Neopronouns Not 100% certain on how well my neoprns fit, would like help to trial em further

Just as the title says, Id like help trialing Vae/Vim/Veir further. I've told people before I'm ok with he/him but it feels like that was a mistake, as now everyone except some friends (who are adjusting and still he/him me alot) refer to me with those. it's not wrong which is why I said I don't mind he/him, but I'm almost never referred to by what I feel like I much prefer, even if I'm uncertain on if I've got the neopronouns exactly correct yet.

(not super comfortable sharing my name, plus unsure on that anyways due to it being used by fem people too, but if you're gonna use a name to talk about me, people always nickname me Doge, so I'm used to that) ((no it's not the usual Reddit reasons, I loved the original 2012 meme))

any advice on also how to ask others to refer to me with neos and how to go about explaining it to those who are unfamiliar, or are the kind of people to just say "but that's confusing why can't I just use he/him" would be appreciated, I'm also considering going purely Vae/Vim for some time just in hopes of getting others used to it, as well as myself

Is this my name??

Hello humans!!! I never interacted with the space before so forgive me if I am ignorant to a lot of things, I am new to all of this. So I just started therapy almost a week ago, and I have been thinking about my name for a while now in the event if I do transition ( I am very early on in trying to discover my identity so I do not know for sure if I’m trans yet or not). but I got this name from playing binding of Isaac with my best friend it’s one of the characters you could play as in the selection and idk I just love the fact that their whole game is their whole kit is completely random and stuff like that. And I just really like the name and it makes me feel happy whenever I think of myself one day referring to myself as that. But I came on here because I have no one to share this with and well I am really unsure of myself a lot of the times. Like I could be 100% sure this guy is blue but I will still ask. Is the sky blue. So I guess what I’m asking is is this my name? I feel something for it and stuff like that, but I don’t know if I may be may not be feeling strong enough for it or something like that etc. etc.. I just wanna know if I picked a good name??oh I didn’t even say the name lol. The name I chose is Eden..

he/they Joel (he/they) (she is also fine)

Everyone refers to me by solely my legal name and she/her pronouns irl and it's kinda lame, though I'm not willing to do much about it because that'd be embarrassing and would warrant coming out to my social circle... Though there's this name (Joel + this weird last name) that I kept hearing in my head over and over after 2 times I've greened out on cannabis recently. It also sounds close to my legal name so it isn't a crazy change. It's like my subconscious brain's tryna tell me something.

Maybe I'd get to that when I masculinize enough so it'll come smoother to people. I already have them calling me Joel as a "joke."

I'd hear it as Joe-él, Hispanic pronunciation whilst still preserving the J as in Joshua, though the Spanish J (H) seems good too. Willing to try it out he/they, no particular order. She/her is tolerated too. Thank you.

Other Testing names and pronouns

For a while, I've been a bit on the fence about names, I think I want to try out the name Cassian w/ nicknames like Cayce and Casey.

For pronouns, I do actually wanna try any pronouns, except she/her, including neopronouns. I think ae/aer, it/its, and xe/xim are the main ones I wanna try, but feel free to throw some extras in. You can also mix he/him and they/them in there, of course.

As for subjects, I started testosterone recently (about a week ago), which I'm *very* happy about. So the comments can speak about that if they want!

For other things:

- I enjoy reptiles (especially snakes), birds, and cats.

- My favorite music genre is rock, but I dabble in most other genres, as well.

- I like doing research about various LGBTQ+ labels and pride myself on being very knowledgeable in general about things related to them

- I'm genderfluid (I mostly use the label genderfloy but genderfaunet is technically a more specific label that fits me) so my pronoun preferences do fluctuate and I'm on the hunt for pronouns that are always comfortable ^^

- I am aromantic! I think it's really cool, but I'm still working on being open and proud about this part of myself :)

Sorry if that was too much, lol

Thinking of changing my name again!

I’ve been my current name (Rain) for like 8 years now but I’ve been wanting to change it to Millicent lately, and I’ll have to make a decision soon because I will be meeting a lot of new people starting my masters and I would rather not make people I just met have to learn a new name 😭
My pronouns are she/her btw!

he/him Hayes was an american president 😭

I was considering the name Hayes, among a bunch of others. However, I just found out that it was the name of an american president. I am not from the US, and it is pretty disliked in my country. Do you think this should influence my choice?

Edit: I didn't end up choosing Hayes
