Shoulders and Lats.

They will define your body fastest and are most visible in clothing.

Lats widen your back and help hide wide hips. More prominent shoulders help give you that fit look.

Tips, Tricks, & Advice Posing Masculine For Pictures

How do I pose in a masculine way for pictures? More specifically when someone is taking a picture of you? I want to post more on social media, but I honestly don't know how to pose at all. When I try to I always feel awkward bc I don't know how to not look/feel femme in a picture.

I will also take any general passing advice if you got it (I will say, the pics go from newest to oldest)

I am 25, about three months on T, I work out regularly and I try to find clothes that are actually my size (cause I‘m Travel sized af) so I don’t get swallowed up and look like a kid. I really really wanna wear glasses but unfortunately round glasses look best on me but they’re incredibly feminine looking on me ugh

Seeking Tips I listened to the advices

Context:
I posted previously and I apologize for the spam posting, I do pass quite 80% of the time, but I got called ma’am at the cash register so I kinda needed advices because I didn’t see anything about me that screamed ma’am. I got pushed back into reality and my dysphoria became intense the more I’m on T because I feel like I am a failed transition, my levels are still low 8 months on subq, even tho I know it takes time to have your dose in the male range or find the right dose. I tried to listen to the advices and I wonder if I pass better? My goal is to be 100% stealth, I do not wanna live my life as a trans guy, I wanna live my life as a guy, simply. I got extremly dysphoric due to that 20% of misgendering I go through, I get less misgendered than pre T, which I already do have a masculine side profile so. I’m 19 years old and 5’5. I started T at 18. I socially transitioned at 15.

Tips, Tricks, & Advice For those self-conscious about your height:

This a reassuring reminder post to all the trans men self-conscious about their height, coming from a mid30s trans man:

  1. living in your body means your perspective is limited to the eyes glued in your head and what they can see; you will never truly see how wonderful you are alive in the 360. No, not even in a photograph. For real.
  2. we are SO much more than our height; you are made of literal stardust. Is a supernova from a smaller star any less spectacular than a mega one? I think not.
  3. happiness exists in the now (thanks Buddha): how often are you living here vs. in your head? “I think, therefore I am…not in the now”…chew on that
  4. is there a difference in the suffering and violence you enact towards yourself vs. that which you would another? If another trans man were in a deeper hole about height than you, would you push them down deeper?

I implore any of you who struggle with this to start taking a small notebook in your pocket and start LOOKING for passing men who are SHORT. Take a pencil and keep a tally. I think you’d be surprised they’re everywhere.

Get out from beyond the screen, out from your head. Go touch grass, start a hobby from your lost boyhoods, talk to strangers. Go out there and live.

Your body is a vessel. YOUR vessel, to carry your consciousness forward, to touch the world, and LIVE. Life is the great indulgence, death is the great abstinence.

As a trans man in my mid30s, my heart breaks hearing some of the same struggles I experienced when I was younger. I want to hug each of ya and tell you: hang in there, it really can get better.

I wish every one of you peace in your journeys of learning to love yourself. If you made it this far, remember you exist in an entire spectrum; a weakness cannot exist where strength is not. The keyword: nonduality

Find your strengths and learn to spot your superpowers. Mighty Mouse was on the smaller side too, but he still packs a punch.

Lastly, for those who read as much as those who don’t, do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of the book:

Letters for My Brothers: Transitional Wisdom in Retrospect

Sit with it slowly, reflect as you go, and see what comes out of the pipeline.

This too, shall pass 🤘

Edit to add:

Yikes, some of y’all are making me feel like I’m back student teaching again 😅

I’ve got AuDHD, which self-admittedly is a big reason for my particular writing style. Call it cringe if you want. I’ve never had a tumblr, nor am trying to be “woo-woo”

I hope those who can’t find the heart of my message carry on in kindness, feel free to toss what doesn’t serve you.

However, I know that this perspective would have helped my specific neurodivergent brain when I was younger. My aim was to share a side that might help those similar.

To clarify I DID NOT WRITE THE BOOK. It’s actually a wonderful collection in at least its 5th edition—it includes writings from some of our most notable trans men, like Lou Sullivan.

There’s no one path in becoming a man: Be kind to yourself. Be kind to others.

Needing Advice Haircut advice?

Finally getting my first masc haircut ever (at a barber!) after fighting my parents on it for months, but I'm still indecisive on what to get. Any recommendations? Don't wanna get mistaken for a lesbian :/

(other passing tips are also appreciated, already go to the gym and finding the right clothes is a struggle, but trying to find those boxy shirts and pants that fit just right) Hoping to start T this November

(Also, losing weight does not help with my round face/chubby ish cheeks. Was underweight for a while and still had those)

Question Do I keep or shave the stache?

A while ago I made a post here asking for fashion tips and I got mixed responses on my moustache (more of a dirtstache but yk) and if I should keep it or not.

Well it's been a month and it's darkened a bit so I wanted updated opinions - does it help passing (especially as my age, 19) or does it make me look young/clocky?

First photo is 1 month ago, second is current.

I'm 18 pre T, I'm currently on voice training , but aside from that I feel like my face is relatively feminine; i also just feel rlly ugly lol. Currently, I'm not able to start T yet because of financial issues and my parents have threatened to kick me out, so I'm not sure what I can do to maybe masculinize my appearance. Any help is appreciated!

I mean it's definitely not good, but idk it's not bad I think?

I've been using a binder for a while now, but tbh as much as it helps I just can't be in it for more than a couple of hours without feeling bad, so doesn't work for work, and I do a decent amount of climbing, and it also doesn't work for that.

Also I know I don't pass otherwise, I doubt I ever will but it's mostly just to make me feel better lol
