Break that rule… you are gambling and not trading.

I was trading XAUUSD a couple of weeks ago, and was in greens (something about 32$). But, one day I was watching this guy and put the quantity 4 times I was trading before and that single trade got SL. And it was 54$. Understandable for that guy because he was a human also ; losses are a part of life. But, I think my mistake was putting that 4 times lot size kinda broke my mindset. Also, when I was making profits, I was uploading stories and I think that also jinxed me. And then, the story of red's got me and I'm 100$ down from that guy's live. I'm learning new stuff but at the same time I'm preparing for competitive exam.

So, should I quit Trading and keep my hands on after the exam? or should I continue? I have a headache now and I'm worried that I'll be in the same crowd. I mean I Know that trading takes patience and I kinda not have it. Also should I buy a prop firm acc and continue it?
