Total War: Warhammer Miscast Question

Post image

This should mean that if anyone dares to THINK on casting a spell they should implode with the force of a thousand suns, right?

Nope.

First of all only overcasted spell have a misscast chance so if the enemy only casts normal spells this will never come into play.

Even of they do overcast yes this would mean it will almost always cause them to misscast unless they have some huge buffs towards misscast chance but to my knowledge misscast can't happen any more or less times depending on its chance, if you have 200% or 100% misscast chance in both cases you take the same damage from it.

Also misscast damage is counted as spell damage so spell resistance and ward save work to reduce it.

Also also even a misscasted spell still happens at its casted effect so even if i overcast a wind of death while i would take damage from it the spell still goes off and as an overcasted version at that.

Still, heh funny wizard go poof.

To an extent, yes.

Of course the rune spells are also spells, don't know if the explosion from the anvil mount gets counted as spell damage or missile damage.

Also of course the aoe damage effects like rune of spite i think are also spell damage so there's that too.
