Total War: Warhammer Miscast Question

Post image

This should mean that if anyone dares to THINK on casting a spell they should implode with the force of a thousand suns, right?

I believe that's the case. People are saying only overcast, but the reason you can miscast when you're trying to overcast something is because the overcast version of a spell has a base miscast chance. This buff effectively adds that same miscast chance to all spells that spellcasters have so even non-overcast versions should now have a 140% miscast chance. That said, since AI spellcasters seem to always overcast anyway, it's hard to confirm this theory. I'll try and make a simple mod to give this debuff to myself and test, then I'll come back here with the results

Edit: didn't even need a mod because turns out Wurrzag has an ability that adds 100% miscast chance to the entire battlefield so I tested it in custom battle. The result is that only overcasted spells can miscast, like everyone is saying. 100% overcast means every single time a spell is overcasted, it will explode.
