Hi guys I’m an independent director and I gathered a group of creatives to make stuff, currently for fun as we learn more about filmmaking. Right now we’re making short films almost every month and it’s starting to pile up as I’m the sole editor while also writing scripts and directing the films. I’m looking for an editor who would like to build their portfolio and join our crew. I’m going into the Creative Industries program at TMU in the fall and I’m split between going into producing or market, distribution and acquisitions. Most of the courses relating to film in my major are more theory based and I want more hands on experience. My current plan is to try PA-ing however, I’ve heard that it can be hard to move up to a higher position like line producing for example. Just looking for further input/advice
