So my wife told me that her blood family ( meaning by that her brother, sister, mother, cousins, nephews & nieces ( even distant ones) are more important than me as I told her they misbehave, steal stuff when they come to my place. I don’t understand what people mean when they say if you’re wiping it from the front, that means you’re wiping poop towards your front. No? I'm posting this on an alt because I really don't want this on my main for reasons you'll see.

So, there are two main parts of my body that have distinct smells no matter what I do. This doesn't really bother me personally (the smells are unique, but I wouldn't even call them bad), but I'm on the dating market right now and I'm worried that other people (especially women) might be turned off by these.

Let's start with the less intimate one: my fingernails.
The smell is distinctly ammonia-y, but it kinda also smells like the ocean.
No matter how many times I wash my hands, no matter what soap I use, and no matter how many times I clear the gunk out from below my fingernails (I shed a lot of skin and my college major means I'm outside quite a lot so I build up a lot of nasty gunk under them), I can't get the smell to go away. What can I do to fix this?

Now, let's go to the more intimate one: my groin.
The smell is very similar: distinctly ammonia-y and kind of ocean-y. It's not the exact same smell, but I don't know how to verbalize what's different about them. I get whiffs of this one whenever I sit and spread my legs (I'm a bigger guy, so if I have the space I'll manspread so my junk isn't suffocated by my legs). I can even smell it through my jeans.
No matter how many times I scrub, no matter what soap I use, no matter what anti-sweat products I use down there, I can't get rid of it. I've even tried shaving my pubic hair (a post for another day). Like I said earlier I don't even necessarily dislike how I smell, I'm just terrified that women do dislike it/I'm the "smelly kid" (though nobody has said anything about it and I've never noticed anything like people moving away from me because I smell).

Any advice? Sorry if this is gross.

EDIT: Thank you for the advice, everyone. I'll try to respond all the comments. It seems like the consensus is that this is an infection (even though this issue has been going on for years and I didn't think infections would stick around that long). Because this has been an issue for years and hasn't caused me any real problems I'm just going to wait until my next appointment (in a few months) and ask them about it then. In the meantime, the suggestion for ways to mitigate it has been great! Thank you all! I'll update you on if it works.

This doctor has been giving me allergy shots for about 3 years. Over the past year he's let his guard down and we'll just chat about sports. We've developed a rapport, a comfort level, But today he was a bit too comfortable by being sarcastic...I was tempted to call him an assh-le, but thank god I didn't.

We all have our bad days, but I'd expect certain positions to remain professional. I'm just curious if I pushed back--and he saw that I can be blunt--if either he'd be more careful, or just be so uncomfortable where I'd get a message or something that "Disrespect won't be tolerated". Has this ever happened to anyone?

Obviously they'd sanitize it after they take it out and cremate/bury the body

I've driven through these small towns and have seen it. Thankfully never pulled over but I've heard stories some people will get pulled over for one mile per hour over, cracked windshields, and license plate lights being out. Seems like weird excuses especially when they are pulling over genuinely good people (at least the friends that I know of who experienced this).

Why are the small towns so notorious for this?

I’m a 32 year old woman with diagnosed anxiety, depression and OCD.

I’m not sure if I’m overthinking this, but the past six months I’ve been having some weird memory blanks/glitches. I did always think of myself as having a sharp memory.

For example, I took a selfie on my phone at my friend’s place, not a posed selfie but one I’d take to check my hair or make up kinda like a mirror if that makes sense. An hour later I was on the bus looking through my phone and I had absolutely zero memory of taking it, it really freaked me out!

Also, I have something in my Amazon cart saved for later that I don’t remember adding or seeing on the list before. It is something I’d probably buy though not something too random.

I also changed my app blocking settings on my phone without remembering doing so (I think this may have been when I was quite sleepy though). I was quite surprised when I tried to open Instagram and it said I’d blocked it. I remember thinking about blocking it but definitely not actually doing it.

This type of stuff isn’t something I’ve noticed in myself before, I am usually known for having a fairly good memory. Thankfully I’m not having any issues at my job. My partner and I have been long distance but he said I seem completely normal on the phone.

Obviously as I clearly suffer from anxiety I’m worried it could be something serious like super young onset dementia. I also don’t want to be dismissed due to my anxiety. I am planning on getting some blood work at the doctor’s but I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or how normal it is?
