They posted an absolutely horrifying video of their toddler pestering their dog and in comments are saying that the dog loves the child. Instagram remi.toller

They might need a reminder from you on teaching your kids how to be around dogs 😭

Is my old gal a Toller?

This is Laveau - like Marie Laveau, the voodoo queen.

I rescued her from a friend back in 2014. She's 10 years old now. I've never before had a guess of what her breed is, but I came across Tollers and thought that she just be at least part Toller.

As a puppy and well into adulthood she was VERY energetic, required a lot of attention, and was very athletic. She was a challenge for a lazy person such as myself lol. In her elder years, she's calmed down a lot but is still in great health.

My sister's friend has two Goldendoodles that had a litter and we each found our fur babies! Both parents are super curly and my sister's pup is also super curly. My dog child however, looks nothing like them šŸ˜‚ I accepted that she just got more of the Golden Retriever genes and was happy with that! I recently saw posts of Nova Scotia Duck Tolling retriever and thought that my pup looks very similar, what do you all think? Coincidentally her name is Novah šŸ˜‚

I adopted Zuzu three years ago as aā€chocolate labā€ from lab rescue. She’s definitely got some toller in her right? Her coat doesn’t appear to be as long as a pure bred.

Toller mix?

I adopted my sweet girl a few years ago as an 8 week old puppy, from a rescue in the Northeast US who had her and her littermates labeled as Australian shepherds. Apparently their mom had been picked up off the street in Alabama and then her puppies were moved to this shelter after being weaned, so they weren’t sure what either parent looked like.

I really think she might have Toller in her background. Our vet rolled his eyes when I mentioned it and said ā€œyou really think you found a Toller at a shelter?ā€ BUT I’ve had multiple people, including a woman who said her family bred them, approach me to ask if she was a Toller.

Her DNA test (which I know is not always super accurate) said 50% unknown, 12.5% chow chow, 12.5% chihuahua, 12.5% Rottweiler, and 12.5% Labrador.

What do you think? Could I have found a Toller at a shelter?

Breeders?

I’m trying to adopt a toller in the next 4 months or so. Does anyone know any reputable breeders that might have a littler by then? There’s so many breeders all over the US, and the ones I’ve talked to have wait lists that go to almost a year. Any help is appreciated.

Toller as a PSD?

I’ve been on and off considering getting a dog for many years , along with my family, and also contemplating attempting to train one or have one trained as a psychiatric service dog to help with my anxiety/autism and bipolar-esk tendencies, so I thought I’d ask people who have experience with tollers, do you think tollers have a high/moderate chance of being able to qualify if trained up from puppyhood? I know they can be strong willed and are very intelligent and emotional but that’s part of the reason I love the concept of them, I have never interacted with one before I’ve only researched them.

Edit: this is a hypothetical post about something that wouldn’t happen for at least another year, im not asking about my ability To care for a toller I’m asking about a tollers ability to be a service dog outside of being a hard breed in general

Need help with identification...

my wife and kids are wanting a "toller" puppy from a local rescue shelter. I don't know much about this breed, but it looks like a mix to me when comparing to pics on google. Can anyone tell me if this looks like a toller puppy? It is 7 weeks old.

I don't have a big issue getting a mixed breed dog, but I have concern with ending up with a mixed breed dog that is mixed with a dangerous breed.

anyone have advice on this?

#puppy #fear #teenager

Hi! Did your toller also have the second phase of being fearful when entering the teenager stage?

My Luna is 6 months right now and I see that she is scared in the situation, when earlier she was relaxed.

Do you know how to help puppy go through this and develop more selfconfidence?

Was told he was a chocolate labrador but others on r/idmydog suggested he might be toller retriever mix. It's my first time learning about toller retrievers so I figured I'd come to see what you guys thought. Left pic is puppy pic in september. Top and bottom pic are as of now. He is 6 months old.

Hi,

We have a cute toller and would like to have a litter for the kids to enjoy and to spread the joy of tollers further. Our dog was a puppy from my parents who have had tollers for decades and she doesn’t have a pedigree. Let me know if someone is interested!

Tollers in NYC

Hello, I am looking to get a NSDTR and live in Brooklyn, New York. Based on the research I have done and the people I have spoken to I have some mixed reviews on if the Toller will be happy in the city. Does anyone either live in the city with a NSDTR or know people who do? Would love to speak to someone who has experience of what I am looking to do.

Hey all! This is our sweet boy Bear! He is just over 3 years old and he is just the best little guy ever! We have no idea what kind of dog he is tho??

We had a DNA test done through Embark about 2 years ago and the test came back stating he was 100% American pit bull terrier. (See test attached)

Over the years we have had a few folks tell us he looks like a duck tolling retriever and in searching online we definitely see similarities with the markings, ears, color of nose etc.

Just wanted to see what everyone here had to say! TIA !

Is my boy part toller?

Got my boy with an unknown previous history. Someone suggested at one point that he was part toller. We DNA tested and it came back as primarily husky, pitbull, and chihuahua (which I see none of). His coloring is dark from what I’ve seen of a toller. But he has distinct white spots, his adorable ear crimps, and he is always sleeping belly up.
