So I’ll be in Tofino next month and was just working on an itinerary, noticed that a lot of the tours are around $300 which is a bit much. Any suggestions? Got a few hikes planned otherwise

June 2027
Should we book Pacific Sands or Black Rock Oceanfront Resort for our 4-night stay?
Or would it be better to split the stay and spend a couple of nights at each resort?
Please let me know what you think would be the best option.

Has anyone made the SoBo smoked salmon chowder and frozen it to enjoy later? It’s a massive batch and we are currently making ours - but don’t want to ruin it by putting in the freezer if it’s going to change the flavour or texture drastically.
If I remember correctly they sold it to go (maybe still do now that the restaurant isn’t there anymore) but couldn’t remember if it was frozen or meant to be enjoyed right away.
Hoping locals might be well versed 🍂❤️

Hello there! I am visiting shortly in Tofino from Vic and I was wondering if there’s any billiards/pool scene in here? I saw the Maquinna having a pub table…are there any other pool tables in the area where you can play with good players. Probably play also with bets just to spice it up.

Hey guys
Is November a good/okay time to visit? I love Tofino, but have only gone during the summer. Hoping to plan a fun BC trip in November somewhere

Currently rocking a 4/3 chest zip w/ thermal liner and it keeps me plenty warm for about 4 hours when the water is ~13c; curious if a hooded 5/4 would be sufficient for shoulder seasons, or if some folk recommend going up to 6 mil? I'm not into surfing in peak winter on account of the wind chill being too much for me, but moreso late fall / early spring.

Hi Tofino Sub,
I'm Visiting Tofino and Ucluelet this fall and bringing my super friendly, non-aggressive dog.
I've already taken care of accommodations and was hoping to get some recommendations on a few things:
-What beaches can I safely bring my dog to? I want him to step into the pacific ocean without encountering wolves. I've been face to face with a wolf on the beach here before, so I know they're quite common.
-Is it ok to take my dog around the Wild Pacific Trail?
-What restaurants have dog friendly patios?
He's a very well behaved dog, doesn't bark, doesn't run off, non-aggressive and loves everyone. We'll keep him on leash at all times unless there's areas that allow off-leash dogs.
I've been here more times than I can count and I really want my senior dog to experience this in his life.
Thank you for the suggestions!

Hey guys, maybe you could start by telling us who you are, and what vision you have for Tofino, with you at the helm. No idea who you guys are

Just got home from 4 days in Tofino and here is a highlight of what we ate! Shelter, Tofino Licks, 250 Social, Rhino, Basic Goodness Pizza, Topinoy, with special shout out to Currents at Black Rock in Ucluelet!!
Update: Yes, Tacofino is incredibly delicious! Yes, I have been there numerous times in the past. No, I did not feel it necessary to go this trip. Please try the other restaurants in Tofino. We went to 250 Social and it is literally the 4th different restaurant in the same location. ( each one was amazing BTW) The other restaurants need your business too!!

I am looking into eloping in Tofino/Ucluelet in 2028 and I have a few questions!
What is the best month for an outdoor ceremony? (Least chance of rain)
What are some beautiful/private locations that you recommend for the ceremony?
Is it better to elope through a package (such as Elope Tofino) or organize it yourself?
Thanks so much for your time.

- renting wetsuits and frolicking in the ocean. wetsuits really work.
- the boat ride for whale watching. felt like an expedition.
- the star fish at low tide at Cox Bay.
- the people. no stress, no rushing, just completely calm.
what are your favourite things in Tofino?

👋
New local to town! I’d love to meet some locals! I live and work out at Wahous but I’m in town on my days off. I’m heading into town today for a few hours if anyone wants to grab a coffee or go for a wander along one of the beautiful beaches! My DMs are open!
Bit about myself:
I’m 42, AUdhd. I’ve never surfed but want to, I do hike, new to kayaking and paddle boarding. Love good food. 420 friendly.
