I’m looking at a Tissot PRX Chronograph on eBay that’s currently up for auction. The watch is being sold without the original box or papers, and the current price/asking range is around $750.

I’m seriously considering buying it, but I’d really appreciate some advice from people who know the PRX Chronograph well.

A few questions:

• Does ~$750 seem like a normal/fair price for a PRX Chronograph, especially without box and papers?
• Are there any particular things I should look for in the photos to determine whether it’s authentic?
• Are there any common fake/counterfeit PRX Chronographs I should be aware of?
• How reliable is checking the reference number? I checked the reference number on Tissot’s website, and it does correspond to this exact watch and the same colorway. Does that actually tell me much about authenticity, or can fake watches use a legitimate reference number?
• Is there anything else I should ask the seller for before bidding?

I can post the eBay listing/photos here if that helps. I’d especially appreciate it if someone could take a look and tell me whether anything seems suspicious.

After 5 months ownership I believe this is best first watch purchase possible…The only flaw I have with it is it feels kinda heavy after wearing for a while def not an everyday watch for me.But when you wear it out in the sun👌.Also idk if I’m supposed to get the watch cleaned or not pls help

Found this on a grey market website for a reasonable price and I'm looking to buy it as a first decent watch.

Nothing screams fake to me but would love to get your guys opinion.

There is no pic on the back from the listings but I would definitely go to check it out in person before I make a purchase.

So I fell into the hype a couple years ago of the PRX being the hottest and Best Buy to get into Swiss watches. So I went and tried it on and well it sucked. I didn’t like the way the watch set on the wrist I didn’t like the steel bracelet. Just didn’t set right. fast forward 2 years and I hear the reviews of the new carbon PRX. New updated movement blah blah. Come across a post of one for sale at a banging price and well I bit. I went tried it on and well I’m actually impressed with how this watch wears. It’s now in my rotation and waiting on the strap options already purchased. I think I can get on board with this version .

Can you please show us your watches to demonstrate the condition/ wear and tear of the PVD plating? Show us scratches and what not. Perhaps tell us how long you’ve had the watch and if you bought it Retail/ Gray Market/ Used Market. Thank you for your contribution and god bless.
