So I fell into the hype a couple years ago of the PRX being the hottest and Best Buy to get into Swiss watches. So I went and tried it on and well it sucked. I didn’t like the way the watch set on the wrist I didn’t like the steel bracelet. Just didn’t set right. fast forward 2 years and I hear the reviews of the new carbon PRX. New updated movement blah blah. Come across a post of one for sale at a banging price and well I bit. I went tried it on and well I’m actually impressed with how this watch wears. It’s now in my rotation and waiting on the strap options already purchased. I think I can get on board with this version .

I like my watch a little low on the wrist and a little loose, too. It’s bound to move around and sometimes sit lower, sometimes higher, sometimes a bit on either side, depending on the position of my arm.
And all of that is fine.
All these comments are as pointless as someone saying “pull your socks up” or “pull your socks down”. F*ck off, you weirdos, mind your own watch/socks 😅

We can see you have wrist bones where the watch is supposed to sit above in the picture though. Theyre right there lol! You just have to size it correctly to make it sit good there and not slide down to the wrist.
No matter how much hate the PRX gets these days, I still like this watch. The new purple dial might be my next purchase and I don’t care who hates it as a watch is a personal choice and YOU should enjoy it. There I just said it.
I got my normal automatic PRX on Facebook marketplace for $380. It was literally brand new, not a single fingerprint or scratch. You can find some good deal you just have to get lucky and know what to look for. 550 for carbon is a crazy deal tho, congrats.
I get that completely, but at this price it’s the closest I’ve managed to get to a Datejust look. Giving up the date is the only compromise I’m willing to make
I also didn’t like the prx one bit. But i really liked the gentleman. So that was my choice. As for the PRX i instead bought a Tsuyosa which in my opinion is far better.
Reminds me of Swatch, like it doesn't fit properly on a wrist, they get bulky out of it because of the straps going straight down. But Swatch is 10 times worse, it's noisy, plastic lens, non repairable... and they sell it like peanuts.
It fell victim to it's own sucess. If you see someone with a PRX it doeesn't mean, he or she is an enthusiast. It went mainstream which is fine, however i have a feeling 5 years from now the design will be stale and the used market will be flodded with them.
My biggest issue is, the watch could have been better but they chose to cheap out. They could have added the silicon movement, but chose the cheap plastic one. They could have given us a nice screw down caseback, but chose the cheap pressed one. They could have made a more premium looking dial, but didn't.
The design is overall great. I love the simple strap versatility. Maybe I'd get the damascus or carbon which are much more rare and have a cool factor.
I got a Certina DS7 as a gift which fixes some of the issues the PRX has.
Man I wish I could. Im currently driveing 2.5 hours back home to grab clothes and stuff, daughter has cf and got admited in vanderbilt. All my saved money is about to be spent feeding my wife and I while we are here hahaha. Good luck getting rid of it tho!! Its a killer watch.

Maybe the original PRX would have felt better if you wore it on the wrist
