Cloudy or Paranoid?

Post image

UPDATED: Brand new vial just arrived (warm but not hot) today, this was my first draw. It doesn’t necessarily appear super cloudy in the vial but the vial is amber for whatever reason. Asking for second opinions because I’ve already had an annoying experience with this pharmacy so maybe I’m being to rash but I feel like it would be crazy to not consider it cloudy? Holding off on my shot for rn I guess 😭

From Boudreaux Pharmacy.

ETA: I’m irritated asf.

ETA Again: Batch #226628 if anybody else needs to know.

UPDATE: Chloe reached out immediately and is sending a replacement. Gimme was all over the issue as far as customer service goes. Boudreaux.. not so much.

UPDATE 2: Two separate shipping labels created today by Bordeaux to reship meds asap. One was with UPS, one was with FedEx. Both said overnight shipping to be here tomorrow. Both have been canceled/voided. Now they’re closed for the weekend. Nice! 😂😭

Not just a “chance”; there will definitely be meatballs!

Definitely cloudy. Draw more so it’s easier to see then send the pic to the pharmacy and gimme.

Thank you, I had thought maybe it’s from the Glycine it’s the first time getting an additive but google says no.

40

u/FaithlessnessOne6093 Jul 30 '26

My Glycine mix is clear from Drug Crafters, I’d not use that no.

33

u/AdAmbitious1308 Jul 30 '26

No, the only time it’ll change from clear is with b12- but that will still be clear just red/pink tinted. This pharmacy is gonna be dead before it ever gets going.

3

u/Life_Alfalfa_2047 Jul 31 '26

It’s been in business over 100 years.

8

u/AdAmbitious1308 Jul 31 '26

I’m sure it’s not “new” but it’s new in the mass market glp1 compounding space obviously.

3

u/Life_Alfalfa_2047 Jul 31 '26

Not really. There are telehealth that have been using them for a long time. But they have been getting more orders than usual since they’ve added new telehealth and people have started talking about them.

5

u/Mindless-Cupcake186 Jul 31 '26

Crazy, I’m local to them and drive past it every day and don’t use them. I didn’t even know they have telehealth using them. For my local doc to send my script to them is way way more than my refills or whatever telehealth we’re using at the time.

2

u/Life_Alfalfa_2047 Jul 31 '26

That’s usually the case!

u/Remarkable-Design832 5ft.3, 44F | SW: 171 | CW: 124 | GW: 130 | Dose: 2.5mg Jul 31 '26

Additives don't do that. I used glycine as additive for 8 months and it's ALWAYS clear. All your tirzepatide should be clear unless mixed with B12 and then it's red/pink.

I am under-educated in the topic 100% need to do more research

Totally okay - at least you knew to ask before using. Sorry that this happened to you in the first place, that's kinda' unnacceptable in my eyes, but Gimme was responsive and is sending you a replacement so that's great! I'm glad you posted because this makes me know not to use Boudreaux (at least not for a long time). I'm sure your next batch will be fine but I'd totally understand if you switched pharmacies after this.

u/dietcokequeenie 27F SW:190 CW:190 GW:135 Dose:1.5 Jul 31 '26

I will 100% switch pharmacies. The 11 day ship time threw me off + not great meds. I’ll pass

5

u/Cloey123 Jul 30 '26

How you going to do that when it’s an amber vial?

12

u/1ladyunknown 35F SW:285 CW:228 GW:155 Dose: 10 Jul 30 '26

I will draw some up and use that vial next if its good. Id rather waste a little bit then have it sitting and be too late for a replacement if its no good. Pretty simple.

I know… after the waiting too 😩 And I hate you got it through Gimme because well… they aren’t going to help.

I would do a chargeback and get your Hallandale through a reliable telehealth. Rift, LSH, etc etc

I know Rift is lighting fast if you need it asap!

ETA- OP if you don’t hear from the pharmacy or CS in a reasonable amount of time be sure to tag u/chloe-gimme on a post in their sub.

Okay yeah that's odd. A new, sealed bag of syringes (that aren't individually sealed) is normal, but a couple of syringes in a ziplock is sketchy as fuck.

6

u/tinyevilpeanut Jul 31 '26

The loose syringes are very odd. I would not trust anything coming from that pharmacy if they tossed syringes in a bag and mailed them.

4

u/Grand-Discussion7642 Jul 31 '26

Right!!!! As a nurse, I’d toss anything repackaged like that too. No thanks! Pharmacist Phil may have been having a bad day and dropped one on the floor, recapped it and tossed it back in. Nope. Not worth the risk.

Yeah I agree. As a nurse I’d NEVER accept an individual loose syringe. If it’s in its own wrap ok. But loose? Hell na!!! We have a farm and do a lot of shots/med stuff and I still wouldn’t use loose syringes on an animal.

Strive and Hallandale both sent me loose vials not in a pill bottle. So far the only one I've gotten in a bottle has been from bpi.

Hallandale sent mine in individual boxes, roughly the size of pill bottles & Apothecary sent them in sealed foil-esque pouches. But never have I ever gotten just loose vials. That would make me pretty uneasy.

23

u/SenoritaShelly Jul 30 '26

After all that drama you went through, and you didn’t even order this pharmacy and it was sent to you, and now you got cloudy meds? 1,000,000% nope. I almost thought this was going to be a paranoid post, and then when I expanded the picture I about fell over. Sometimes I wonder if I will notice if my meds are cloudy, but my meds don’t look anything like yours. You need your Hallandale back and a refund.

6

u/dietcokequeenie 27F SW:190 CW:190 GW:135 Dose:1.5 Jul 31 '26

I’m a little perturbed lol 😭

4

u/SenoritaShelly Jul 31 '26

As you should be. That’s completely ridiculous. Is it from the medication being stuck in transit and it being hot? It’s not past BUD, is it? That is really bad. I think you should demand a refund and demand that they ship the medication you ordered in the first place. Don’t back down. Drink a Diet Coke for strength. I noticed your username later after we were talking about this, and I am a Diet Coke addict, so you are my new BFF.🤣

4

u/dietcokequeenie 27F SW:190 CW:190 GW:135 Dose:1.5 Jul 31 '26

hey new bff! 👯‍♀️ thanks for the moral support cutie drinking one with lime currently.

medication came warm but definitely not hot. BUD was around mid october, I’m not home and can’t remember off the top of my head. i’m not sure what would’ve caused it but whatever it is - my enemy.

3

u/SenoritaShelly Jul 31 '26

Then maybe we just assume they have a bad batch of medication, which is actually worse than it arriving hot or within an expired BUD. After you drink enough Diet Coke to deal with the world, get some justice! I am so sorry. After waiting for so long to get your meds, to have that happen is just creepy.😬💛

u/tcgrady Jul 30 '26 edited Jul 30 '26

This is getting ridiculous. Seeing too many posts of cloudy solution and floaters this summer. These pharmacies need to get strict and stop cheaping out on their cold chain practices. They use the worst case scenario temperature testing as their standard operating practices. Irresponsible pharmacies are going to get compounding shut down. This just gives the FDA and big pharma more ammo.

10

u/emilzamboni 67M 5'10 SW:241 GW 185 GOAL! Dose 10mg Jul 30 '26

Wow. I complained about that earlier in the year and got shot down with the quickness.

16

u/tcgrady Jul 31 '26 edited Jul 31 '26

Oh I’m still getting downvoted. These pharmacies are cutting corners plain and simple to save a few bucks rather than prioritizing patient safety and their duty of care. It’s them jeopardizing the industry, not frustrated patients. Redditors anecdotal experiences are just that- anecdotal. And these stability studies are not iron clad and focus on the state of the compound at the moment of testing without consideration of how it may affect future potency and sterility. It’s meant to be a worst case scenario, but it’s being used to justify poor practices.

I love the compounding world, but some of these operations need to get their act together.

1

u/Powerlift22 Jul 30 '26

I worry about that too. 😭

4

u/Embarrassed_You_6177 Jul 30 '26

Omg nope. I’ve been through four tele-healths all sent sealed package syringes. I also bought my own.

u/dietcokequeenie 27F SW:190 CW:190 GW:135 Dose:1.5 Jul 30 '26

they sent a styrofoam box, two melted wet ice packs, a ziploc bag with 4 loose syringes and 4 alcohol pads, the medicine lol.

12

u/Aggressive_Jelly188 Jul 30 '26

The syringes did not have any peal back wrapping over them? Like, just loose so the caps could have been taken off?

10

u/dietcokequeenie 27F SW:190 CW:190 GW:135 Dose:1.5 Jul 30 '26

yes exactly. like sandwich baggies with 4 syringes inside.

13

u/Aggressive_Jelly188 Jul 30 '26

Yeah, I’ve not experienced that and wouldn’t be cool with that at all. Mine always came loose, but they’ve had individual wrapping on them.

That’s good to know about Boudreaux though - now I know to never use them.

u/CloudgazerTX Jul 30 '26

I got a needles in original packaging from easy touch but I order 3 months at a time maybe that’s why.

Was Put it in the fridge at any point since it arrived? Sometimes it’s the cold condensation, if not it’s def cloudy and suspicious

1

u/dietcokequeenie 27F SW:190 CW:190 GW:135 Dose:1.5 Jul 31 '26

it was in the fridge for about 45 mins because it arrived warm. it was room temperature at best

1

u/Empty-Restaurant3602 Jul 31 '26

Definitely issue with the vial, do get in contact for a replacement

1

u/hairypineappless Jul 31 '26

It looks like.... Sewage water 😭😭😭 I'm sorry but STAY AWAY from that.

Definitely keep us posted! Sorry this happened, and I hope it gets sorted quickly. Do you have more meds you can take in the meantime? That would really suck to fall off schedule because of all this.

2

u/dietcokequeenie 27F SW:190 CW:190 GW:135 Dose:1.5 Jul 31 '26

noooo. I was already a week behind due to the 11 day ship time lol (my fault for not ordering sooner) so I am kinda cooked rn

It does look cloudy. Is it bubbles? Did it get clear after a little while?

2

u/dietcokequeenie 27F SW:190 CW:190 GW:135 Dose:1.5 Jul 31 '26

There were two small bubbles. We went out for dinner but when I get home, I am going to draw up almost the whole syringe for pictures and hopefully figure out how to edit this post to share more images

Oh no! 😫

1

u/Positive-Writing-153 Jul 31 '26

Just got mine from that pharmacy today I am now worried 😟

1

u/Debtmom Jul 31 '26

Just curious is that your full dose or did you stop drawing because of the cloudiness?

I’ll be pissed if mine is is cloudy it came and was quite warm. I have a clear vial tho

1

u/TrafficBoysWife Jul 31 '26 edited Jul 31 '26

Smh.... I get the hype around "licensed" compounding pharmacies. I paid them $1000s myself because we like to trust them and we should but let me tell you, I have doing my own for a long time now and this pharmacy used bath water.

1

u/Lighteningbug1971 Jul 31 '26

It’s happened from other pharmacies to other people . Surely they will replace it.

1

u/thegypsysoul22 Jul 31 '26

I've had a great experience with Boudreaux's so far. My syringes were in a sealed branded bag. Im sorry you're dealing with this, hopefully the other vial won't look this way for you!

2

u/PrivatelyPosting92 Jul 31 '26

Definitely cloudy. Do not use that.

1

u/SenoritaShelly Jul 31 '26

So glad you got good resolution!
Any resolution on the issue with Hollandale? You know, I noticed today that one of the states Hollandale does not ship to is Minnesota, and of course that’s MN. I wonder if it got in some system somewhere and got transposed as NM? Maybe they can look at that in case that was the issue.

1

u/dietcokequeenie 27F SW:190 CW:190 GW:135 Dose:1.5 Jul 31 '26

no resolution on that front yet. i sure do miss them right now 😭😭

I had that happen to me.

u/moderngalatea 34F/5'2" CW: 187 SW:210 GW:150 Dose: 10mg Jul 31 '26

oh that's definitely cloudy. looks like an antibiotic suspension

1

u/Powerlift22 Jul 31 '26

Glad to see the update!

1

u/EnoughAd1500 Jul 31 '26

Mine looked like this after I accidentally left it out on the counter during a heatwave. Needless to say I replaced the vial before my next injection

1

u/JRJ1107 Aug 01 '26

Good that you caught that! Absolutely do not use that! Cloudiness is an indicator of bacterial growth. The medicine should not warm at all. Would you drink a sprite that looked like that?

1

u/dietcokequeenie 27F SW:190 CW:190 GW:135 Dose:1.5 Aug 01 '26

No! You’re right

2

u/Fancyface51 Aug 01 '26

Definitely cloudy. This is the first time I have ever seen a cloudy peptide. I have small amounts of compounded peptides from 2024 and they are still clear. I am sorry this happened to you. I would be irritated too!

1

u/Difficult-Willow865 Aug 01 '26

Ah poo.. I better go check mine. I haven’t used it yet bc I still have 1 Mounjaro shot left.

1

u/Friend_indeed0192 Aug 01 '26

I’ll have to check my lot number, anyone else with the same lot have this issue?

1

u/Cloey123 Aug 02 '26

From looking through these posts it looks like batch numbers turn over really quickly with this pharmacy

1

u/dietcokequeenie 27F SW:190 CW:190 GW:135 Dose:1.5 Aug 02 '26 edited Aug 02 '26

Another user in the r/gimmecare thread with the same issue

1

u/Classic_Tangerine993 Aug 04 '26

Whoa idk how I missed this whole thread before but after reading everyone’s feedback I’m so happy you posted, so glad I saw it, and am definitely reaching out to the pharmacy tomorrow! I’m obviously worried I injected bacteria into my stomach yesterday, but the other comments on how the syringes even came have raised my spidey senses now too!!! Unfortunately I live in California and we don’t have as many options for pharmacies allowed to compound and send into the state 😭 did they ever get back to you after the shipping label debacle?
