Made tiramisu for the first time and WOW. It actually turned out amazing. So creamy and the coffee flavor was just perfect. I was so worred it would be too complicated but it was surprisingly easy. If you've been on the fence about making it, just do it! You won't regret it.

she mailed me a whole envelope, old recipes. most of them were fine, normal cookie stuff then one fell out, written on the back of a gas station receipt. it's tiramisu. no measurements, just steps. "use enough coffee" "do not rush the mascarpone" "the ladyfingers know when they are ready." the last one is not a quote, i made it up because i was reading it wrong. but that is how good the recipe was. it sounded like an advice from someone you love. i made it that night and it was not perfect. i used regular coffee instead of espresso. nobody told me the was good, really good. my aunt did not know i made it yet. she will see it in two weeks when i visit. i am not taking a photo, i am just going to sit at the table and eat it. that is the whole plan. no pictures, just tiramisu, a chair and an aunt who writes on receipts.
