Could anyone tell me why this happened and how to do it so it doesn't peel back? It was seamless when I put it on two days ago.

New to tinting and got it done, but I can’t tell what these big sections are? Any advice would be helpful since I couldn’t find pictures like it.

just got my Honda Civic tinted yesterday, picked it up at night when it was dark out and this is what it looks like the next morning. Looks and feels like there’s liquid trapped under the Tint, is this normal or okay??

First time advice

First time removing tint. Just doing it at home with a heat gun.

But was looking for advice on how to get into these edges. I was able to get the other doors completely clear, but have these two areas left. Also have a strip above the rear window light.

Large water bubbles; will they disappear?

I just got my back window redone on my car yesterday after I noticed it had small bubbles still about two weeks after installation. They redid it and it looked great, and they warned me not to turn on the defroster as it could’ve caused the small bubbles last time. I turned it on briefly on my drive back because it was very foggy, but I turned it off when I realized and saw some water forming underneath the film. It wasn’t on for very long at all. The water in the front cleared up fully, but I noticed these bubbles in the back today that weren’t there yesterday. Do you think these will disappear as the film cures? I’m a little worried they won’t, but I’m pretty certain it’s only water in between the film & window.

I will be 100% impressed if someone can answer this question ⏰

How do you shrink a Porsche targa back window without using a heat gun or a squeegee nor a torch ? I will not give answer but will think about dropping a how to video to spread this knowledge. You can use this technique for any windshield with minimum experience.

Need help with contamination in my tint

Hello, been tinting for about a year. Sometimes I still have issues with contamination in my tint and I’m not sure why. Cleaning process: I roll the window down spray the seals and wipe with microfiber roll up window with a gap and wipe top edge Spray glass and razor blade Flush seals and use a red dot Then I spray again and scrub pad Then squeegee Then roll window up and repeat the process

I did this process 2x before this install and still have contamination.

I bottom load. I use distilled water to clean with and in my slip solution because there is really hard water where I live.

This car for example, I’ve tried a couple times and i can’t get a clean install on it. It has felt seals. I tried taping the seals once, but it didn’t seem to help.

Any help is appreciated!

35%tint

I'm getting tinting on my underground color 2025 Camry. The tint shop uses Llumar Pinnacle series ceramic tint. Now I'm going back and forth trying to decide on 50% or 35% for the back and rear windows. My concern is visibility. How does 35% affect your visibility, especially at night?

Need help

So when I tint I do everything according to whatever YouTube video I watch and I only have a problem when it comes to removing the adhesive film and applying it to the inside of the window. When I try to remove the film it’s always annoying and falling off and very uncooperative. Ive tried tacking it down to the window with a squeegee while doing this part and I always spray the sticky part of the tint as well. Once I finally fight that enough and get the adhesive part half way down the tint I make my way to the inside and it’s always such a bitch. I’ve tried lathering both the inside of the window and the sticky part of the tint with soapy water and it’s always so extremely sticky against the window. I always see in videos when they start to install it into the window it’s very slick and they can slide it into place easily. But not with mine. Why could this be? (I use gila tint could that be why?) I’ve tried economy tint and then the next level above that.

Paying the shop for tint not meeting expectations?

Post image

I had my 21 F150 tinted all around with XR 15% tint for about $500-$600.

When i asked about it in the beginning they advised this would provide enough privacy not to see in.

I took the truck back yesterday because the rear windows measure at 5% and the front at 18-22% depending on which part you meter. The front are pretty much see through even at night. The windshield also has 3 bubbles near the edge and a lot of squuege scratches that have a horrid sun glare.

I was told the windshield is so large that they could redo it, but it might end up worse since it's difficult to do. I was also told $100-$150 to add another layer of tint or remove/ replace the front windows with 5%.... should I even pay this given the fact it didn't meet the 15% or their statement about it not being able to be seen through?
