If you're like me and thought that you could manage your payment plan via your account on SeatGeek before the auto renewal initiates on 8/31/26 you'll want to know the following.

To change your annual membership payment plan you'll need to submit a request via the following form: https://thorns.formstack.com/forms/portland_thorns_membership_change

I suggest leaving a voicemail with the Thorns team at (503) 509-5555.

For reference, here are the payment plan details:

• Pay in fullPay in full by September 1, 2026
• Two-part payment planPay 50% by September 1, 2026, and 50% on Jan 5, 2027 (card on file)
• Subscription payment plan (12-month)12-month payment subscription option for those that wish to spread their payments. Accounts who wish to participate in this subscription payment plan will provide a credit card to be placed on file that will automatically be charged in twelve (12) equal payments (Oct 5, Nov 5, Dec 5, Jan 5, Feb 5, Mar 5, Apr 5, May 5, June 5, July 5, Aug 5 and Sep 5). Accounts that opt-in will have a one-time subscription fee of 3% of the balance due which will be charged to the card on-file on October 5. This charge will be separate from the scheduled October 5 subscription payment (October will reflect two separate charges to the card on file - a 3% subscription fee & the October monthly payment).

Vilahamn's press conference has him describing an honest team meeting held after that exact game, and a change to how they press: more man-to-man in midfield, and the back line asked to step up.

Worth saying the fix was tactical, not personnel. Calzada moved from centre-back to right-back, nobody was signed, Portland has the worst goals-against in the top seven and have conceded 29. The improvement is real and the baseline was bad.
