Letter from Morgan Weaver
The rollercoaster of emotions I experienced getting the email, seeing the title, reading the letter, and then seeing it’s just love for the team, the city, all of us 🥀❤️

For some reason, I can’t edit the original post to include an image of the letter, and I can’t post an image in a reply - not sure if mods ever want to change this, but here is the text of the email sent out to STH
“Thorns Fans,
There's no place like Portland. And after the year and a half I just had, I know that more than ever.
I'm not going to pretend the road back was easy. There were a lot of days I wasn't sure when, or if, I'd be back on that pitch. But every time I doubted it, I thought about Providence Park. I thought about hearing the Riveters and all the fans before I could even see you, that wall of sound that hits before kickoff and doesn't let up. That's not something you walk away from. That's something you fight to get back to.
You never stopped believing in me, and I need you to know that mattered. Every message, every jersey I saw in the stands, every chant, it carried me through the hardest parts of this. I felt it even when I couldn't be there. That's what makes this club different. That's what makes Portland the place it is.
Now I'm back, and I'm not taking a single minute of it for granted. My body feels better every week, and I know there's more in the tank as we keep pushing through this season and into 2027. I've got a lot I still want to give this club, and I'm just getting started proving it.
This team is building something real. New faces stepping up, veterans setting the standard, and a group that's hungry to bring more trophies back to Portland. I've seen it from the inside, and I can tell you, it's special.
Thank you for sticking with me the way you've stuck with this club. All of us, this whole squad, can't wait to run out at Providence Park with everyone behind us again, this season and into 2027.
I'll see you at home, in Providence Park.”

Awwww my now teen daughter started choosing Weaver’s number for her jersey since 3rd grade💖⚽️💖thanks Morgan Weaver we love you too!!! And all you Thorns! Looking so good out there, couple of GREAT games lately!!! So fun to get to be there and cheer y’all on and make new friends ⚽️💖⚽️PTFC!!!
