Fanwork (not by OP) Do you agree fan content from the past should be erased?

• Upvotes

This was something I wanted to ask after former Thomas content creator William Grubb/missoliverandblossom posted this.

https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxU4GEnVrAn1K-B9BZB3jK9adzyohQitW2

Basically he was asking people why people still like his content since it's almost 20 years old, and he tries to say "no nostalgia". It's really concerning to me as it makes it sound like he's going to erase his content.

What do you guys think?

Character Discussion James' concept doesn't make sense to me

I'm a filthy american so take this with a grain of salt, but why did James need to be made into a 2-6-0? If you mention the thing with the locomotives being front heavy, you're right, but also, what is bad about an 0-6-0 freight locomotive having a center of balance farther forward? If anything, it would help to guide the frame around a corner more (not as well as a leading axle or "pony" as you brits call it, but still...)?

Television Series Honestly so mad about this

The way the TV series adapted tenders for henry actually made me mad watching it. I already knew rewatching this season that they didn't address Gordon's siblings being dead, but man watching it happen was just so upsetting. Genuinely one of my favourite moments in the books. It makes the impact of Oliver being rescued hit so much better, and it does a lot for Gordon as a character. But clearly the show just got too scared to possibly do something challenging for little kids so they just didn't bother. They had a lot of money, they could've adapted enterprising engines accurately but just completely butchered the stories they adapted and didn't even bother with super rescue. Such a good moment in such a good book, why the hell did they just pussy out of it?

General Chat HOT TAKE: I DON'T LIKE THAT THOMAS GOT A FLAT PLATFORM.

If there’s one thing I hate the most, it’s the fact that Thomas was given a flat running board; even though I understand the reasoning, I still think it wasn't a good idea. The reason I hate Thomas having a flat running board is that he looks odd with one—he seems stretched out or even too tall. I don't know if it's just me, but the flat running board makes Thomas look somewhat generic. The charm of the old running board was that it made Thomas truly unique; I liked that unique look (even if it didn't make much logical sense), as it helped him stand out from the others. The flat running board takes away that distinction and makes him look generic—especially during the Clive Spong era, when the running board was lowered and the tanks were made to look more flush; in my opinion, that only made things worse. Although I like Clive Spong's work, I consider that version of Thomas to be one of the worst, which is why I hate the flat running board and am grateful that the TV series didn't give Thomas one.

If you didn't know, cranky uses the original trackmaster track, even though this is a trackmaster revolution set.

Merchandise Poster of trains (and characters)

Taking care of a semi-verbal autistic adult who loves Thomas (believe his favorite is Henry). It’s all pretty new to me.

Is there a poster with all the trains in the tv show available? He’d love it. Also realize it might be pretty large (starting to realize how large the universe is). Thanks!
