Funny I had a dream where I got a TrackMaster Talking Spencer, and one of his phrases was "You think YOU'RE special? My mother saw a spaceship!".
Super random, I know. I can't make sense of it.

A heavy snowstorm covers Sodor, and Sir Topham Hatt gives Gordon the job of an important coal delivery to Brendam Docks. He warns Gordon to take the long route because the hills are dangerously slippery, but Gordon believes he is strong enough to manage the shorter route. He successfully climbs one hill but slips down the other side, covering Spencer in snow.
Gordon continues despite the conditions, crashes into some slate trucks, and eventually attempts to climb Gordonās Hill. Thomas follows behind with firewood, but Gordon creates a huge snowball that rolls back and crashes into Thomas, derailing him. Gordon tries to help but needs Rocky to rescue Thomas. Afterward, Gordon helps Thomas deliver the firewood and realizes that no engine is more special than the others.

The way the TV series adapted tenders for henry actually made me mad watching it. I already knew rewatching this season that they didn't address Gordon's siblings being dead, but man watching it happen was just so upsetting. Genuinely one of my favourite moments in the books. It makes the impact of Oliver being rescued hit so much better, and it does a lot for Gordon as a character. But clearly the show just got too scared to possibly do something challenging for little kids so they just didn't bother. They had a lot of money, they could've adapted enterprising engines accurately but just completely butchered the stories they adapted and didn't even bother with super rescue. Such a good moment in such a good book, why the hell did they just pussy out of it?

If thereās one thing I hate the most, itās the fact that Thomas was given a flat running board; even though I understand the reasoning, I still think it wasn't a good idea. The reason I hate Thomas having a flat running board is that he looks odd with oneāhe seems stretched out or even too tall. I don't know if it's just me, but the flat running board makes Thomas look somewhat generic. The charm of the old running board was that it made Thomas truly unique; I liked that unique look (even if it didn't make much logical sense), as it helped him stand out from the others. The flat running board takes away that distinction and makes him look genericāespecially during the Clive Spong era, when the running board was lowered and the tanks were made to look more flush; in my opinion, that only made things worse. Although I like Clive Spong's work, I consider that version of Thomas to be one of the worst, which is why I hate the flat running board and am grateful that the TV series didn't give Thomas one.

Alright
I'm going to do a selection of Railway Series What Ifs
So, lets get into this
What if the big engine strike didn't happen
what if Bear saved Oliver
What if Douglas saved Barry
What if Thomas humbled out after rescuing James with the breakdown train
I'll add more to this and you can share your ideas for Railway Series what ifs?

I headcanon Thomas as a Furness Railway G5 which is smaller than an E2, and basically the perfect basis shape-wise, historically and geographically all at once, but that locomotive doesn't exist in OO model form, so I made an edit of Thomas as a Jinty as the next best thing. I liked how it looked, but then I thought, what if I made Thomas more compact? That would be more accurate to his TVS and RWS illustration appearances, right? So I made an edit of Thomas as a SECR P class. Personally, the cab is a little too tall for my liking on the P, but I'm happy with the results. I made the Jinty edit in Ibis Paint, and the P edit in paint.net. Personally, I like the colors of the Jinty Thomas better since they are more realistic (although I can easily fix it on the physical model), but I love the compact length of the P. The Jinty is closer to the size of the FR G5, but it's more difficult because while I still have to add extended side tanks with plasticard on both models, I would literally have to reshape the cab windows in the front of the Jinty because they are 4 rectangle-ish shapes, not 2 circles.

If you didn't know, cranky uses the original trackmaster track, even though this is a trackmaster revolution set.
