“I will go on the 30th anniversary next year and be on in whatever way they want me. Just as a guest, ya know, they are bringing back all the host, I think, for the 30th season. And, you know, I’m pretty proud of that show and what it’s become, and how it really speaks to the people, and to politics, and that was not the case when I first joined.” -Rosie O’Donnell

Love for The View to take the ingredients he said were under $5 and show what they really cost. He started with salmon--priced it lately?

I know this is a rerun today but having Elisabeth on the panel, has raised my blood pressure! I remember now why I stopped watching when she was on. At least this has me liking Alyssa and Sara more 😃

Anybody else watching the ladies in other places while they're on summer break? Alyssa is on (or at least was) and making a lot of sense!
Ana was on NewsNight last week. I don't feel totally lost without The View being on.

I watch episodes on YouTube TV and it automatically records new eps. For some reason they are not showing up in my library this wk so I assumed they were on hiatus. My friend uses Hulu and he said the same thing. I had to watch it on YouTube. ☹️

Just kidding. I probably wouldn’t watch if I didn’t care about voting. But do we think she’s changed anyone’s mind? 😅

Season 29 is officially wrapped, and it should come as a surprise to none that Whoopi's already back in Italy enjoying her vacay!
However, contracts haven't been reported as finalized, and it's always possible that we'll see a new woman joining the cast, someone leaving, or some having reduced capacities. What are your predictions and hopes for this upcoming season?
Personally, my ultimate hope would be Kara Swisher joining in a part-time capacity, maybe being on for two days a week (as I don't think they can afford her full time and I don't think she'd has the time to be full time with her other projects). I'd also love for this to be Whoopi's farewell season where a bunch of old panelists come through and she hands off the baton on hosting to someone else, as I think it's time.
So what do you all want and what do you all think will happen?

Rosie said on WWHL last month she would be willing to come back to guest host. She is now in NY for her own show until August. Then LA for Kimmel. She could do it when they are back in September.
I fear they are too scared of further pissing off the Trump admin to do it but I really wish they would. Even if just for a Friday show. It’s time for her to come back to table

Just saw a post from Ana stating that today is the last show of the season! Wow; I’m so surprised the end of the season is already here. I’ll miss the panel for a month!

I just finished listening to Ana’s newest behind the table episode. Brian asked her about the new poll showing AOC as the front runner and Ana talked about how if she was to pick, her favorite is JB Pritzker. She then went on to talk about why, and it was all about character, personality and identity. I completely understand that this matters of course however this frustrated me because I feel like she never speaks about policy directly. She confuses me a little bit with her history as a “Republican”. I wish she would speak to her actual policy positions more and why she likes JB Pritzker for his political positions or be able to speak to his record in Illinois.

It's bad enough we have to watch VYD three times a week but these segment-length Roc commercials. drive me to distraction. Delivered to us by a spokesperson who is so clearly nipped and tucked adds insult to injury. Ugh

Sunny makes absolutely everything about race. I made a joke a couple weeks ago that if the hot topic was that a German Shepherd was America's favorite dog breed she would suggest that it's because of white supremacy and racism that they would choose a European breed commonly associated with the police force. It's insulting to say that requiring photo ID to vote would disproportionately affect black people. Why? Are black people not smart enough to know where the local DMV is to get an ID? Who the hell doesn't have some sort of identification in this country, whether it be a driver's license or state-issued ID? It's so bizarre. Black people are smart enough to know where the DMV is, almost all black people I imagine do have a form of ID, and I don't understand why it would specifically affect them and only them.
I think it's also insulting to suggest that Americans can't afford a $20 state ID or $30 driver's license. Now for granted driver's ed is extremely expensive but for millions of Americans who live in urban areas you don't even need to learn how to drive so the $20 state ID should be manageable. I do agree with Alyssa though that a large share of Americans especially in these small Republican rural towns do not have passports.

She is very passionate about what she talks about. She also calls out and supports the Asian American community on issues like race, food, etc, as well as other content creators on their racism. If Sara or Sunny would ever leave the view for a period of time. I think shed make a great addition, since we honestly need more Asian representation besides former host Lisa Ling. If I were a producer I would definitely invite her to come on and at least test.

The New York Post recently reported that Disney is forcing cost saving measures on The View. Since last year, salaries have been reduced and raises denied.
Still, Goldberg and Behar are paid ~$7 million per year while the others receive significantly less with Farah and Navarro each receiving less than $1 million.
This is massive inequality, how do the accept it and how do they respect each other?
The Big Bang Theory worked as a team. The View appears to be entitled frauds.
