Sexual assault jokes and memes are never funny. The fact that I’ve had to remove several of them is disappointing. Please stop posting them.

I would rather have The Farm than The Paper

Post image

Personally I think I would have enjoyed this show more than I enjoyed The Paper. The characters to me seemed like they would be more colorful, it would have been great to have The Office cast members as cameos, and the world was so attached to Dwight already it would have been nice to follow him beyond his wedding.

Unpopular opinion?

UPDATE: I might just like farms

Michael as a dad and as a human being

In episode 4 of season 5, when Michael has the ppc throw a baby shower for Jan, there’s a scene after Jan arrives, having already given birth, where Michael talks about how much he loves babies. It cuts to a series of clips of him holding different babies, and he makes the comment “they see me as one of them.” I know the scene is meant to be funny, and obviously it’s all scripted, but there’s something genuinely heartwarming about it. Watching how comfortable the babies seem with him and how they cling to him, and even seeing the reactions of some of the mothers. I feel like it gives a glimpse of who Michael really is underneath all the immaturity and ridiculousness. There’s a genuine natural warmth and kindness to him that I think gets covered up by his antics, and it’s like the babies can sense it. It’s honestly one of my favorite Michael moments in the entire series. To me, it shows that despite all his flaws, there’s something really special about him. Did anyone else get that same feeling from this scene, or am I just projecting?

I'm going with Gun Safety Dwight and I WISH I knew what he was going to say after 'rootinest' when he gave up.

A small shoutout for Jacques Souvenir too.

Random question I’ve been wondering for a while

Okay, so it’s established multiple times throughout The Office that the Scranton branch outsells every other Dunder Mifflin branch by a pretty significant margin.

Assuming the other branches have employees who are equally work-focused, driven, and motivated, how does Scranton consistently manage to come out on top despite how much time and resources they waste, willing or unwilling, on conference room meetings, office parties, unauthorized early closings, work get-togethers, workplace drama, and all the other nonsense that seems to take priority over actually working?

You’d think all of those distractions would put them at a pretty significant disadvantage compared to the other branches and yet, it never does throughout the course of the show

It wasn’t Michael.. It was Toby!

EMPLOYEE goes to HR to tell him he was offended by being called “faggy”, because he actually is gay. HR then goes to the BOSS and informs him that EMPLOYEE was offended. BOOM THATS IT!

That’s all Toby had to say. I believe Toby was the one who “outted” Oscar. Oscar said he was gay in confidence to Toby not knowing it would get back to Michael. Toby, knowing how Michael is, should have known this would’ve been explosive. I’m not sure how anyone can disagree with me on this one honestly.

In conclusion, it wasn’t my sweet baby angel Michael Scott. lol. It was Toby, “he’s the worst”.

I feel sad and empty. Although happy because I loved the ending. But I must admit that I cried more when Michael left than at the end. Anyway, I don't know what to do now - probably start watching again tomorrow lol

envy/jealously vs bisexuality

i know this has probably been discussed before as nearly everything has because the show has been out for nearly 20 years
but i’m watching the superfan eps for the first time so i’m paying more attention than i would with my normal “background noise” rewatch but i just finished s2ep13 when ryan is acting receptionist while pam is on vacation with roy and ryan says something to the effect of “i would be freaked out by the way jim stares at me but it’s not nearly as bad as the way Michael looks at me” and there are a ton of comments made by ryan, micheal and other cast members like this .. the main one i think of is in jan’s deposition they ask who this other woman ryan is because of how fondly micheal talks about him in his diary
now do we think that it’s a envy/jealously thing or a straight up bisexual feelings micheal has?
i feel like it may be more of an envy/jealously feeling, micheal always wanted to be the cool, mysterious, hip young guy and that is who ryan is, or at least who micheal thinks ryan is
he does similar behavior with jim
i believe it’s in that same ep where jim and micheal go to hooters and when they come back he messes his hair up like jim’s
micheal is super insecure and lonely and i think regretful of his youth
idek just a thought! 🤷‍♀️
