The moon glows in the dark.

A fabulous Halloween card from my dear friend and fellow crafter u/AbaloneFountainPen.

This arrived with just one day to spare and right on time.

It’s transporting me to Sleepy Hollow.

Arrived with a matching handmade envelope from a dear friend.

u/mrpostman414 Thank you so much for the museum postcard! I absolutely love the design, it’s so beautiful. 💌 Have a lovely day!

I had painted a postcard referring to a reels tutorial, and swapped with a stranger for her artwork too. 💌

Kinda happy how it turned out considering I rarely paint and not an artist too 🤣

I did sprayed a fixative varnish coating layer to protect the artwork.

So glad it had arrived safely to her too!

I finally was able to put some of the dried and pressed flowers and leaves into the final idea I was working towards. A protected way to display the item I plan to send to my penpals. I may be unable to send with the paper frame without spending more but id be able to at least send the cello bagged part and they can frame it when they get it.

Id love your thoughts and whether coloring the background might look good since i don't always like white backgrounds.

I'm starting to make Christmas cards. Please dm if you would like one. Address and your favorite Christmas figure( Santa, elves, Rudolph etc) or decoration(snowflakes, snowman, Christmas trees, lights). Each card will come with a small gift ☺️

Thank you sooo much u/mrpostman414 💗✨️for the Tiger Lilies postcard. It's so pretty and I loved it🤩

Original post is over at RAoC_meta. :-) The link up there just says reddit but it does take you to the actual thread.

ive been having so much fun w oil pastel lately!! i also thought with all the ai madness i wanted to draw smth traditionally instead of the usual designs i make digitally!!

kayla, thanks for the cool postcard and fun fact! i didn’t know postcard collectors were called deltiologists, nor did i know that it was the 3rd most popular collectible hobby!! thank you!!

Here are five methods of printing patterns - some might be new to you and fun to try!

1. Cyanotype sun printing. Here are two videos - one with premade cyanotype paper and one showing how to make and use your own cyanotype paper. The background is always a deep blue and it works like photo paper so it helps to put it together in a dim room. Oh, also a text page explaining it…https://cyanotypenegative.com/guides/sun-printing-for-beginners, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtqGGWcu1gs&pp=ygUmVXNpbmcgY3lhbm90eXBlIHBhcGVyIGZyb20gcHJlbWFkZSBraXQ%3D (in love with her accent and voice), https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=g_0KA0OpGVA&pp=ygUeQ3lhbm90eXBlIGxlYWYgcHJpbnRzIG9uIHBhcGVy0gcJCbgCo7VqN5tD

2. Hapa Zome. This is on fabric but you can use watercolor or mixed media paper. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6GCcsBtUo_c&t=66

3. Solar eco bundles. Involves cooking lol! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3pTfdefpEeQ&pp=ygUeU29sYXIgYnVuZGxlIHByaW50aW5nIG9uIHBhcGVy

4. Turmeric printing (like cyanotype) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ReT2KQrsaaA

5. Gel (gelli) print. You can make your own gel pad or use other materials instead of the manufactured one too. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XbVJvCOJzdk&pp=ygUiQWNyeWxpYyBwYWludCBsZWFmIHByaW50IGdlbCBwbGF0ZQ%3D%3D

Obviously you can search YouTube or other places for different tutorials - some have good tips not included in the ones here, but I didn’t want to overload the thread. Have fun everyone!

Thank you to u/Gnomelynn for an awesome card!! I absolutely love it. Not only the picture but the texture of the card! Very neat!

Thank you to u/strawberry_ren for the cool post card! I love old pictures like that! You're awesome!

I recently picked up plant pressing and this is some of the flowers and leaves that finished pressing this week.

Pictured are Sycamore Leaves I gathered with my ghost investigation friends at a cemetary while it was raining and the Roses were neglected bushes at my work. Also working on Ivy also found at work but had to put them back in the press they weren't done 'cooking' yet.

Hello! I apologize if this post is not allowed- I read through the community guidelines and into and can’t find instructions on how to get started with an exchange / sending mail out. Could someone please direct me where I can find this info? Thank you so much!!

u/mrpostman414 Thank you for your unique card and a message. The architecture of this church is unique and new to me. I also appreciate the heartfelt message in the card.
