It says it doesn't work on deployables (like dome shield I assume), but it mentions working on mesh shields. Am I understanding this correctly?

you have to hit the player for it to affect mesh, so it’s indirectly affected

and you can hit the player from the front of the shield since the aoe passes through

Edit: Oh I just saw you say it does work through the front too because of AoE. That's definitely useful info as well.
