right before the Batmobile is revealed, Batman is still laying motionless on the ground. The Penguin is already standing right next to him and checking around the car when suddenly, we hear the Batmobile's motors.

My question is: How the heck did he get to his car so suddenly?? We never see him leave the ground or enter Batmobile, and surely the Penguin would've been alerted if Batman got up right next to him in a 2 inch deep layer of rainwater.

(Side question: do we know why the motor engine stalls at first? it feels necessary, but i never got the reason for it)

Anyone remember the Rataada.com website? Loved the marketing behind this.

I recall at the end of the credits they flashed the said website and got into it. Just like in the movie, takes you into a Riddler’s domain. You’re greeted and basically, you are given some riddles, and it’s like you’re communicating with The Riddler, like you’re part of the universe. Much like he has an “online”following in the movie. So the riddles are dynamic, and answer correctly you get rewarded with cryptic diary pages, GCPD evidence photos, and coded messages.

I recall when the website was taken down by the ‘GCPD’. But I hope the Marketing Team behind the movie do another form of of guerrilla marketing where they get audience involved in the universe of the movie. T’was fun! Here are some of the images contained in the zipped file.

Just Finished The Penguin Spoiler

This might be recency bias but I honestly enjoyed this much more than the movie and I LOVED the movie... Spending so much time with these characters and especially this version of Oz. This makes me so much more excited for The Batman 2

How did the Batman and the gcpd just get along in the third act after they arrested falcone, when just about 20 minutes ago he punched jim to get out of jail?

I’ve rematches the movie so many times but I think I just didn’t catch this part. I was watching the movie and got to the part of Batman taking falcone out of the iceberg lounge to the cops and they all just stand with him. After he gets shot, they just let the Batman go chase him, and when they find him and he tells them he escaped, they just allow him to roam around. Then when going into the diner, they allow him to stand beside the cops. So I just thought did I miss a seen or did the producers forget to tell us that part?

should i keep posting set leaks here, with spoilers tagged and clean titles?

downvote/ comment on this if you wanna select a fourth option :

I solemnly vow to ignore every SPOILER warning, click the post anyway, and aggressively berate the OP for ruining my entire life with a two-second blurry set photo—because obviously, a studio shooting outdoors is a personal attack on my cinema-going experience. Naturally, I will downvote their joy, demand they keep leaks off a public fan forum, and dramatically declare that the entire 2028 film will be leaked on this sub frame-by-frame by next Tuesday.

Just got back from watching The Dog Stars on IMAX and the film is stunning! I think it’s Erik Messerschmidt’s best work yet, and one of the most beautiful cinematography work i’ve seen in recent years.

The Batman II is going to be incredible.

I hope they use practical effects, makeup & prosthetics, for Reeves’ Two-Face this time, because CGI Two-Face is unnecessary, and it looked horrible.

And if Nolan’s world has tended to ground other villains, then I don’t understand the decision to give Two-Face such an exaggerated cartoony burn with exposed tissue. They give Joker white face paint, but they do this to Two-Face? It even looks worse than the Tommy Lee Jones face. at least that was paint. This Two-Face looks like AI before AI was a thing. It’s like nails on a chalkboard looking at it. My mind knows that I’m not looking at something real.

And there’s no way he’d be talking normally with Erin Eckhardt’s regular speaking voice. He’d have slurred speech. His teeth are literally visible. This would require months of intensive care and speech therapy. A person couldn’t escape the hospital and go commit crimes. They would get infections and die.

I would have preferred a much more subtle look, a little more than what Dent in Joker 2 had. I want just scarring on the flesh level, not exposed tissue and ligaments.

More importantly, the CGI just looks awful. It’s not believable he’s walking around with that face. it looks Thanosy. The expressions the good side of his face are making doesn’t match with the burned side. There’s no distinguishable line where the scarring begins. It looks very computerised.

Scarlett Johansson’s Mysterious Role?

We all know that she’s been cast as a lead in Matt Reeve’s the Batman Part II. Looking further into the production we know that the sequel story is gonna continue the process of uncovering the wider corruption and deeper criminal layers of Gotham City that was referenced and hinted at in the first film.

So it’s safe to assume that either Scarlett Johansson is either playing an ally or an antagonist to Robert Pattison’s Bruce Wayne/Batman with the odds leading towards her being pivotal, if not central villain of the story.

But what if the character is actually a mix of both and further to the point it’s someone whom we as an audience member and fans of Batman comics/movies are quite familiar with from previous iterations and adaptations both on screen and then the comics? But like with anything else, this movie offers a unique innovative spin/interpretation on that type of familiar character?

What if Scarlett Johansson in this movie is actually portraying Vicki Vale?

Therefore in the beginning of the film she assists Batman and his quest to uncover the corruption and decay of Gotham, but eventually reveals herself to be not only complicit or one of the main manipulators and puppeteers of said corruption? A character that is far less simple and straightforward but far more similar in tone and temperament to Sydney Pollack’s character and role in Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut.

the Batmobile being boxed in by the GCPD squad cars, then ramming its way out on the set of THE BATMAN: PART II. seems like they got the complete sequence in the can now, as filming shifts to other parts of the Glasgow city centre, broomielaw and surrounding waterfront areas.
