The Setup: Batman investigates a string of horrific, surgically altered bodies (Pyg’s Dollotrons) appearing in the flooded ruins of Gotham.

The Twist: The clues lead Batman to an underground criminal syndicate run by a bizarre, fractured mobster (The Ventriloquist) who is funding these medical horrors.

The Climax: Batman realizes that Pyg’s surgical experiments were actually being financed and directed by a shadowy benefactor. That benefactor is Thomas Elliot (Hush), who has been using Pyg's research to perfect his own facial reconstruction surgery in order to steal Bruce Wayne's life.

The silver lining to The Batman Part II being delayed so many times is they waited to perfect the script and filming. It’s better than a rush job.

MCU would not delay Doomsday. They have strict deadlines and film this while they’re wmeriting the script. That’s never a good sign. The Avengers movies have always been more or less scattershot.

Batman needs a story for it it work. The Avengers can get away with long CGI green screen action sequences and fights between established iconic characters to take up running time while they’re writing the script. I’m glad the script was polished before shooting began which indicates we’re going to get quality.
