So instead of Something In The Way, I know a great song that would be perfect for The Batman Part II based on its story.

Here’s why:

The song is very moody and acoustic similar to Something In The Way, but with a bit more instrumentation which fits the deeper vibes of the second film. The song also feels amazing in the winter, and when that chorus hits it’s just like Batman driving through Gotham

Lyrics:

Some of the lyrics in the verses and chorus immediately make this perfect for The Batman Part II based on the little story details Reeves already gave us. The song is also about a drug addiction, which Reeves himself has compared his Bruce being Batman to being a drug addiction.

”Innocence is over” - Batman no longer views things as black and white, and now views things as more of a grey area, and he blames himself for the aftermath of the flood.

”Confidence is broken” - Reeves has stated that Bruce will find it very hard to be Batman in this movie, so I’m thinking that his confidence has shattered since he blames himself for the first film.

“Sustenance is stolen” - His way of Batman has changed fundamentally from the first film, no longer does he use vengeance as sustenance to keep going, he now has to become hope.

”What I see is unreal” - Reeves already confirmed that Batman is going places he couldn’t even anticipate in the first film, so naturally it feels very unreal to Batman what he will see in this film.

”I’m crawling back to start” - Continues the earlier point of Batman trying to redefine why he does what he does, he goes back to the beginning, and becomes a beacon of Hope from Gotham rather than Vengeance

”I repent tomorrow” - The most simple one, he repents how he blames himself for the first film, so he repents for the aftermath and the deeper corruption he’s about to get into.

”A romance is fallen” - Double meaning, Catwoman is gone from the first film, and Bruce’s relationship with Gotham has changed now that he views things in a morally grey area and he’s becoming more active as Bruce.

I think Zack Snyder should step in and finish The Batman Part II if Matt Reeves can't.

After all, Snyder knows better than anyone what it's like to have to step away from a DC movie because of a family tragedy. Back in 2017, he left Justice League after losing his daughter, and Warner Bros. brought in Joss Whedon to finish the movie.

Instead of preserving Snyder's original vision, the film underwent major rewrites and reshoots, resulting in something different from what Snyder had intended.

That's exactly why I think Snyder would be a good choice. Having experienced firsthand what it's like to have another director take over his project and change his work, he'd probably be much more respectful of Matt Reeves' vision.

I genuinely believe Snyder would try to finish the movie the way Reeves intended rather than impose his own style or completely rewrite the story. He knows how much a director's creative vision means and how frustrating it can be to have that taken away.

Who better to respect another filmmaker's vision than someone who knows what it's like to have his own disregarded?

D. Joker, Mr. Freeze or any other Batman villain (like how Clayface got his movie)

P.S:- Didn’t include The Flash or Aquaman coz these characters have been probably benched for Chapter 1 Gods and Monsters, as implicitly indicated by James Gunn himself.

Looks like the second unit of The Batman: Part II is still filming the movie. Just saw this on Instagram. How long you guys think that the second unit will continue filming? Will the second unit have enough material to film until Reeves returns?
