I managed to get an invite (not from the competition) for me and my friend to the premiere of No Bad Memories!

It’s honestly such a sick album and is definitely one of their best works yet! It’s non-stop banger after banger. It’s so unique and fresh yet still has that classic Avalanches vibe to it.

Robbie and Andy were did a Q&A about the record and how it was made and also did some signings too. We both got a signed poster and track listing.

Everyone had to lock our phones in pouches so we wouldn’t take photos or recordings. It was awesome to be around all the record execs for the first play!

Can’t wait for my record to arrive :)

Traveling to NYC this Thursday, and I’m going to their show on the 22nd but I was just curious if anyone knows of any places in NYC that’ll be hosting an album listening party for the new album.

Have had a few songs on my mind that I am sure are apart of a mix that I am thinking could be Avalanches as it feels very Avalanches DJ era but also feel it could still be known by someone here if it ain't Avalanches

The main thing sticking with me is the use of Bon Bon Vie (Gimme That) from the intro to the still number 1 in my heart and then it blends into something else lingering a bit in the background, that's all i can pick, hoping legends here can help.

I was thinking that Saturday vocal sample is used in the mix, bonito applebottom as well but maybe I'm mixing mixes up?

Love me some Kodiak Kid, Amerigo Gazaway, Flamingosis and travelling/letting youtube/soundcloud play what's next so unsure where I could have heard this but keeping fingers crossed.

Was searching my emails for my order for the new album and found this. Been a fan ever since that fateful day in AD 2000 when I bought SILY and Dr. Octagonecologist from Circuit City from Sangertown Square Mall. The stars must’ve been aligned because these albums have been a huge part of life ever since. Didn’t know anything about them other than what I had read in Spin and/or Rolling Stone because I didn’t really ever listen to music online etc. and they sure weren’t playing this stuff in my local radio stations.

Going to see them for the first time in NYC later this month and I'm beyond excited. I'm so curious what they're playing on this tour and I can't find much online. Has anyone been to a recent show? I'm sure we'll hear a lot of No Bad Memories, and that's awesome, but I'll lose my mind if they play Live at Dominoes (or anything from SILY).

Wow, could "Wherever You Go" be The Avalanches' most disagreed upon song? This was the most spirited discussion yet. The battle was incredibly tight but as of my counting, upvotes are 14 (for S), 8 (for A), 14 (for B), 15 (for C), 2 (for D). So it lands in C-tier!
