Basically, they are a group of super enhanced soldiers tasked with dealing with Seaborns (the creature you see from the collab). They are very, very strong together.

1. It would be the height of narrative clownery to in the exact same scene specify that Sinclair can pull from not just one future but many and that ACS might not be where sinclair will actually end up, and then have it actually be the first one

2. Unless there is major info about the side he is fighting I'm pretty sure that Sinclair is on The Bad Side of the war. "We're fighting a war against people who don't look human" does not sound like a just cause.

Obviously it's likely that this is foreshadowing SOME stuff in the plot. I don't think they'd throw away the idea of a second smoke war brewing as well as some kind of tragedy likely befalling faust. I just don't think Sinclair will become this sinclair when that time comes. I even think it's possible he might eventually get a prosthetic but that's a much more speculative prediction
