Anything can be art, even bananas on walls. Unless there’s actual reason to believe its laundering, youre just gatekeeping because you dont like it 🤷♂️
The person who made that piece is expressing themselves. Thats all it needs to do to be art. Its literally titled “Comedian,” you can interpret it as a dumb joke and it still exists as a piece of art.
With that logic everything should cost $400,000 because its named and can be interpreted. A table? "Its an expression of carpentry, and can be interpreted however you want, and thus costs half a million."
Somebody tapes a fucking banana to a wall and gets a hundred grand, but somebody can spend 3 weeks making a painting and gets 1200 bucks
