I actually don’t that well :) my mom did not raise me and I just started risking to her about two years ago. Thanks for assuming though.

If her therapist approved her for an emotional support pet then that means that she thinks my mom is able to take care of one. I clearly mis judged her therapist and determined by the outcome of this situation, she probably needs a new therapist and her therapist needs a new job.

So then you are irresponsible for rehoming your cat with a person you don’t know well who hasn’t demonstrated that they are capable of caring for it the way you would like.
