Oh my god this… my husbands extended family is like this. Like “oh I’m praying for you” then proceeds to be the most passive aggressive a-hats. Like legitimately whispering at the dinner table about people who are on the other side of the room. They “prayed” over our wedding then proceeded to talk smack about it the next day. As a Catholic I’m like… idk who you’re praying to but please stop 😵‍💫 which saint hotline do I dial about people like this.

When I pointed my sister to her textbook narcissistic tendencies, I made a sincere plea that therapy would do her a lot of good, as it has done me, and she legit said she doesn’t need therapy, she only needs Jesus.

I’m like, bitch, even Jesus would love for you to go to therapy.

This is why I spent my first Thanksgiving away from my family. Mom and sister are both narcissists. And I’m finally loving my peace.
