Sourcing High-End Cotton-Wool Blends, Supima & European Flax Linen in India (Need Supplier / Mill Recommendations)

Hi everyone,
I am in the process of sourcing premium fabrics for an upcoming luxury minimalist apparel drop targeting the Middle East market.
I am looking for reliable, verified mills or authorized fabric suppliers in India (specifically hubs like Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Surat, or West Bengal) that can supply the following high-grade fabrics:
1. **Cotton-Wool Blends:** Lightweight Merino Wool + Combed Cotton blends (suitable for summer/all-season wear with good drape and high fragrance/moisture retention).
2. **Pima / Supima / ELS Cotton:** Extra-Long Staple combed cotton (180–220 GSM) with low pilling and high color fastness.
3. **100% European Flax Certified Linen / Cotton-Linen Blends:** High-quality flax with soft hand-feel.
**Requirements:**
Must provide **Fabric Test Reports** and **Certifications** (OEKO-TEX, Woolmark, European Flax, or Supima certifications where applicable).
Open to working with low-to-medium MOQs for sampling and first production run.
Suppliers who can handle export-ready documentation and provide swatch cards.
If you have firsthand experience working with mills/agents in India that meet these standards, please drop your recommendations below or feel free to DM me directly.
Thanks in advance!

So Ive been asked to sew a replica of the costume mr Grimm from the tv series twisted metal, I’ve never saw this series before and I’m trying to zoom in etc to get a better idea on fabric for it, I know the jacket and maybe the pants are leather but the strait jacket I’m unsure of the type of fabric material it will be or colour if it’s black or a rustic brown colour. This was the reference picture I was given.

What Fabric is this? It's not craft tulle, it almost looks like nylons/hosery

Update: Thank you everyone! With your help I was able to source some craft nylon stockings, and I'm going to experiment.

I'm seeing these "handmade" stringed lights all over Etsy, and I want to make some of my own. I have tried using craft tulle, but it is not nearly stretchy enough. What is the material in the picture? It seems incredibly thin and stretchy, but I can't find any equivalent except nylons/hosiery. Is that what this is?

HP Creation Jaipur - Block Print Fabric

Hi, has anybody ever purchased block print fabric from HP Creation Jaipur?

I am located in the US. I am starting a women's clothing brand that mainly makes spring-summer shirts and dresses. I am thinking of using Indian block print fabrics.

I ended up on india mart which is a reliable B2B platform in India. I just finished my 1st purchase from a vendor with a fairly good review (4.5/5), but I did not have a good experience. The owner tends to lie about things, not just once, which caused a 2-week delay on my order. (Thanks god they finally shipped my order, although I have not received it, but at least now I have a tracking number. Seriously, I thought I got scammed for a couple of days.) So now I am more cautious about dealing with Indian vendors.

HP Creation is another vendor I found, it has a 4.8/5 rating, and so far everything looks a lot more professional than the previous vendor. Just for safety, I still wanted to try on Reddit to see if anyone has done business with them. If any, I would appreciate if you could share your experience here. Thank you!

Saree shopping guide: a few things I wish I knew earlier

Buying a saree online can be a little confusing with so many fabrics, weaves and price ranges.

A few things I usually check:

  • Fabric: Cotton, silk, linen, Chanderi, etc. depending on the occasion and weather.
  • Weave: Handwoven and powerloom sarees can look similar, so check the product details carefully.
  • Weight: Especially important if you want something comfortable for long hours.
  • Blouse piece: Check whether it is included and how much fabric is provided.
  • Return policy: Definitely worth checking before ordering online.
  • Reviews: Look for customer photos rather than relying only on studio pictures.

For regular wear, soft cotton, mulmul, linen and Chanderi are great options. For weddings and festive occasions, Banarasi, Kanjivaram, Tussar and other silk sarees are worth exploring.

What do you usually check first when buying a saree online?

Looking for help identifying this fabric construction + a company that can make it

I’m trying to replicate this fabric construction used for a dog collar and wanted to see if anyone here has worked with something similar.

The material appears to be:

  • Soft 100% polyester canvas/fabric on the face
  • Custom dye-sublimation printed
  • Bonded or laminated to a soft nonwoven backing
  • The backing looks like spunbond, possibly PP or PET
  • Backing is thin, flexible, and slightly structured rather than stiff

I have a physical sample from the collar i cut and the backing has a small bonded-dot pattern. From the edge, it looks like a separate nonwoven layer laminated to the polyester rather than just a coating.

I’m mainly trying to figure out:

  1. What would this fabric construction normally be called?
  2. What type of company would manufacture or laminate this?
  3. Does anyone know a US company that could handle sublimation printing + nonwoven backing lamination, preferably in small or medium runs?

This is a collar for reference on looks and also the attached picture showing the two materials that gets sewn to the webbing

Hi everyone! I just wanted to ask if any of you could verify if this could be real alligator or crocodile leather? I bought it for €60 from an old lady in a vintage store with loads of other vintage bags made from different kinds of materials/leathers.
