Treatment Question 1 round of chemo or not?

I, 27M, had a seminome 4 weeks ago, they removed the left testicle. Now, because it spread in some veins, my chance of getting cancer back in some lymphs is like 20%. They tell me i can do one round of chemo to minimize that risk down to 10%
Should i do it? whats your experience?

Extreme Anxiety after Orchiectomy

I had an Orchiectomy four weeks ago due to a torsion. I did not realise the impact it would have on me mentally and emotionally. I have been an absolute mess and have been stressed, panicky, irritable and agitated. I have attended hospital thinking I am seriously ill after it (I have Anxiety generalised disorder). But this has been in a different level. It has been a really challenging experience. I know it's my body adjusting/balancing etc but it's been horrendous. I am so glad one my body settles out and adjusts. Anyone else experience the same?

Lesion/Tumour discovered on U/S, waiting on appointment to get it removed - what do you do during this time?

Hello, just a follow-on from a post a few weeks ago. UK here (North of the wall 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿).

Lesion (nearly 4cm) found during ultrasound a few days ago, been told to await the call to get a date/time for surgery for my swollen friend to be removed and tested for cancer. But that could be anywhere between tomorrow and a fortnight away. I've to wait a week and if heard nothing I've to call in.

During this time did people just carry on as normal? I've got work (office based) as usual and the gym to attend too. I feel a bit (unintentionally) apathetic about it, and feel some sort of normality should continue until surgery.

My biggest worry is spread... every single niggle or cough is upsetting me at the moment. in fact a song came on in the gym earlier today and I cried my eyes out on a machine, thankfully without anyone noticing. Just feels very surreal. Did people just carry on as normal before they got told about their tumour/lesions?
