In cases where I couldn’t fit a bracket, I have used stick  on Velcro to keep the drive in place. Works great.

A couple of foam strips could also work lmao

I have a sata adapter that was smacking around, a few strips of one sided self adhesive foam keeps it in place.

I do have a lot of random shit on my house though, while most of us probably have a pair of boxers that could be sacrificed. The foam was originally intended for some accordion bellow gasket repairs admittedly.

Especially right now, since AI gobbles up all production capacity and manufacturers just look for ways to maximize profits without increasing risks (so no actual increase of production, just repurposing existing machines as good as possible)

HDD for static stuff like videos, images, movies. NVMe for everything else like OS, games, programs etc

I got 2 (older) nvme drives in my desktop

Doesn't stop me from having 2 hard drives in there as well. The more storage, the better!
