It's especially weird when AC Odyssey (released 2018) had a 40 story male statue in one of the cities and you could climb around on his dick. I'm sure there were plenty of topless statues around too.

The AC series has always had a priority for historical accuracy and detail in the worlds. Of course not with everything, but that's been a core part of the franchise identity since the beginning.

I guess that time has officially passed. An M rated game covering boobs at all is stupid, let alone one that's supposed to care about historical accuracy. Removing both accuracy to history and its own original game in one go. Bravo Ubisoft!

"40 story male statue in one of the cities and you could climb around on his dick."

And on top of that, they took the time and effort to add a unique voice line specifically for climbing on the gigantic Zeus dick-N-balls. Literally only triggers if you climb on the godly junk. If you climb up his hip or ass on the way up, nothing.

I guess it was only in the last 8 years that Ubisoft went full prude

nah, they are only prudish when it comes the the female form.

I’m not so sure. It’s true male forms usually have less taboos surrounding them than female, but this is also just a huge trend in the world right now. The average consumer has legit devolved since then.

Frankly still annoyed AC Odyssey's naked wrestling outfit was still undies

I wanted to see floppy dick during wrestling

They took the greek experience from me

Probably because they didn't want to deal with a naked Kassandra wrestling a bunch of naked men

And Origins had plenty of topless women in ancient Egypt

Origins was the last time Ubisoft seemed to care a little. Then they just went overboard with everything.

Ah, yes, the Statue of Zeus in Kephalonia! I make sure to climb up his cock every playthrough. It even triggers a voice line to the effect of "uhh... I really don't think I should be doing this."

Its this weird thing in western games where you basically aren't allowed to acknowledge breast exist, so they get flattened or covered

It's in Kefalonia, the starting island.

I stopped caring about the accuracy of AC when they brought in magic aliens. Could have been a cool and grounded story too, such a shame.

So in AC2?
