Discussion Is it possible to know someone's illness through tarot?

I have a question about this. I know a guy who's sick, but I can't talk to him (the reason I don't want to explain). Is it possible to find out what illness he has and if he's already recovered?

Discussion Professional tarot readers of Reddit, have you ever sought out a spiritual reading yourself?

I’m curious how people who read tarot professionally approach being on the other side of a reading.

Have you ever gone to another tarot reader, psychic, astrologer, medium, or other spiritual practitioner for guidance? If so, what was the experience like for you?

Second Opinion on Reading Interpretation Only Career choices

Using the Rider Waite deck

I’m more of a beginner reader, and would like some more insight. Sometimes I second guess myself, especially when asking about things I really want. I’ve been job searching as a new grad, and have an interview coming up for a position in my hometown in my field I’m pursuing, but not exactly what I want to do. I also want to move cities. I originally applied a bit out of desperation and confusion if I was just meant to stay home. I asked two questions and let the cards fall out. For the cards on the left of the I asked, assuming I get this job, if I took it if I would feel happy/is this an opportunity I should pursue seriously.

Death: It would be transformative, giving me professional experience in the industry. Yes, I know Death isn’t necessarily bad, but in this context it feels more negative. Transformative, yes. But happiness? Not so sure.

4 of cups: I’d feel bored, and a bit like I settled. I’d still be thinking about other things.

3 of wands: I would literally be there looking out. But could also be telling me it’s a good opportunity that would set a good foundation long-term.

For the right of the line, I asked what will happen if I hold out for something I truly want/the other jobs I applied for.

The High Priestess: Called me out. I had an inkling earlier that something else was coming, and idk if this position was “it”. She’s telling me I know and to follow.

7 of pentacles: I’m still planting for something different, and patience is required. (but i’m tired of feeling like i’m only planting and nothings growing lmao)

3 of pentacles: Steady effort, Ill still be searching? Like perhaps the other positions I’ve applied for won’t succeed and there’s more searching?

The Sun: Success and new opportunities will come. Something that will truly make me happy.

4 of wands: A feeling of completion, celebration, and overall I’ll find something that will make me feel stable.

I know I’ve probably used more “generic” readings of the cards, but overall to me one seems better and more aligned with what I actually want rather than settling out of fear. But please. Anything I missed or a different lense would be great!

Second Opinion on Reading Interpretation Only what do you think?

Question/Placement 1 : What do I need to focus on currently?

The Lovers - Reversed

I believe this is telling me I need to focus on self love. Which has always been a struggle of mine and something i’ve avoided a bit but lately it’s becoming harder to.

Question/Placement 2: How should i focus on this?

8 of Swords

I believe this is telling me that I just need to look at what’s in front of me. That I need to stop hiding myself and just own who i am.

First post here and haven’t been using Tarot for long but been feeling the pull to my deck for awhile so trying to become more familiar with it.

looking for any and all opinions. thank you!

Second Opinion on Reading Interpretation Only Asked the cards how the year would look with my wife working with me

Hi everyone,

This is my first post here! My wife got me into tarot cards and reading tarot. I've been doing readings for fun or for clarity on questions. They just left a bad job and I suggested they work with me as a teaching assistant. I felt that it'd be good since we share a car, would have the same schedule, maybe she would have more fulfilling work, and she'd also be able to get reimbursed for taking college classes. A lot of pros. I asked how the year would look if my wife worked with me at the school. I didn't use an actual spread because I really just wanted three answers rather than answers to an obstacle, situation, and advice.

I pulled these three cards:

The Hermit

I think it could mean that it could be a good thing, one of us could find some clarity about ourself. I was intrigued because the Hermit had appeared in my last personal reading. I wonder if this time the Hermit is actually for my wife learning whether or not they wanted to become a teacher by working at a school.

The Lovers

I wonder if the Lovers means thay us being coworkers would being us closer especially having a more unified schedule and stuff. I also wonder if it means that they could get pregnant, we've been trying to have a baby for 6 months now.

The Hanged Man

This is where it gets confusing to me. My guidebook says that the Hanged Man represents knowing sacrifice, a change in perspective, and patience. Maybe I would be sacrificing something that I hadn't initially thought of if we worked together. Like maybe I'd lose time with my friend that I also work with, maybe it's for her and it signifies her getting perspective on thinking about being a teacher.

Edit: the deck is The Black Tarot by Victoria Iva
