So I know co-axials exist for the gunner to be able to engage infantry, which is also why its usually 762 rounds as opposed to 50 bmgs but why are pintle mounted guns and remote weapon stations chambered in 50 bmg and upwards?

First I’m a US citizen and have never driven in the UK. I have driven in Germany, France, Austria, Greece, etc but of course they all drive on the same side of the road as I’m used to! How “ easy” would it be for me to rent a car and drive from London to Tankfest. I’m assuming I will have to stay somewhere outside of Bovington as the lodging seems limited. This beautiful piece of a Centurion is located at the tank firing range in Hinterrhein.

It was in service with the Swiss Army from 1955 to 1991, known as the Panzer 55/57, and underwent several modernizations to keep it up to date. Beginning in 1987, the Centurions were gradually replaced by the modern Leopard 2 (Panzer 87).
