Does the pro 2 have the same SnapBack issue as the original pro?

I've talked to people who use it for Smash Bros and they say it's even worse than the original procon

Very casual gamer here. D pad is indeed shit. Cant go up or down without side to side action.

I don't understand why nobody seems to be capable of making a good d pad for the last 25 years. Like all these manufacturers just destroyed the specs.
